History
Established in 1993.
We began supplying bread to area restaurants beginning in 1996 as Charlotte’s Bakery. We changed our name to Cornerstone Bread Company in 2009. We opened our retail store, selling our breads and pastries to the public at 840 N. Meridian Street in early 2014. In the fall of 2014, we opened Refresh by Cornerstone Bread Co. to serve snacks and beverages to library patrons at Central Library

I purchased Cornerstone Bread Co. (Charlotte’s Bakery) in 2009 after working for many years in corporate accounting. The recession hit in 2008 and I wanted to devote myself to something more meaningful than spreadsheets. For 20 years I made spreadsheets no one really cared about, now we bake beautiful bread that people love everyday!
