Ate here a several years ago and really liked it, went back for the fist time a couple of days ago and really disappointed. All the food was over cooked and portions definitely smaller. Fish and chips used to come with enough it was hard to eat all of it, now I ate everything on the plate a still would have liked more. That shouldn’t be the case for $ 15 fish n chips. It wasn’t a good enough experience to want to go back. Service was very good though.

I didn’t realize it was something of a chain when I walked in, or I probably would have kept walking.(It is a chain, right? I suspected from the menu. If so, not a big cookie-cutter chain.) But I am glad I stopped in. I got in late on a Sunday. missed dinner with my colleagues, and this was a great spot to sit by myself at the bar, order up a big plate of good pub-grub and a Magner’s cider… and watch some college lacrosse on the tv while I ate. I didn’t have to worry about wait-staff disappearing, because I had the bar-tender as a captive audience, and she treated me well. I had the claddaugh burger and the boxty on the side. I forgot to tell her to skip the fries because boxty is enough potato, and just as well. The steak fries were flavorful and good. It was all pretty good, and especially the low key atmosphere.(Although I was here on Mother’s Day, not during a big soccer match. I bet the place can get going at times.)

Didn’t try the food but the service, IPA selection & curb seating was perfect! Left these Irish eyes smiling.

Meh, place is Ok but nothing to rave about, to include service. Our server seemed to disappear after a while and was difficult to get things. Food also was meh, as this place has sort of gone down hill in the years it has been downtown.

Food was not bad. Huge portions as typical of pub food. Our waiter was great, but a word to the manager. Don’t stop by your guests tables when they’re eating. Definitely don’t do it multiple times. DEFINITELY don’t do it to ask us to like you on Facebook. I get it, it’s a slow day and you’re a business. Don’t seem desperate. Make your guests feel comfortable and at home(not like they’re at a business) and great experiences will follow.

Multiple families stopped in on a Sunday afternoon between hockey games. Our server Sam was fantastic! We tried multiple appetizers and entrees. All of the food was awesome! Would definitely come here next time we are in town!

I went to this bar on a Thursday evening with a handful of close friends towards the end of our adventure in downtown Indy. This bar is the perfect last stop on a night out, it’s quiet and cozy while still having a fun and young atmosphere. There was a live singer who was incredible and there were people dancing in the front of the bar which gave us some entertainment. I really enjoyed this bar even for the short time we were here but it’s an awesome place to meet up for a causal drink during the week or a place to end your downtown debauchery.

Definitely now on my list of places to visit when I am in Indianapolis. Fun place, great atmosphere. Very close to Lucas Oil Stadium. Had been there a year prior but the entire bar was closed for a private party, glad I gave it a second chance.

Oh Meridian Street, I rarely come down here but I was walking home from Iozzos this past weekend and needed a break from the cold. Stopped in here to get an Irish coffee to warm up. The décor is nothing to rave about and the bar doesn’t have enough seating but the Irish coffee was delicious. Reminds me of a spot that I might have hung out in during my college days but that is most of the bars on Meridian Street. Unilocal hint. Make sure to check in here because you get $ 4 off an Irish coffee on your first check in.

I’d been to Claddagh plenty during my college years and had a great experience. We decided to give Claddagh’s dinner service a try after receiving a coupon in the mail for a free entrée. It was a bit empty, so I can see why they’re trying to push a lunch and dinner crowd via coupons. Our server, Brian, was excellent and the food was on point. We ended up getting the beer cheese & pretzels(only three pretzel sticks?!), meatloaf entrée(ended up taking half of it home!), grilled cheese entrée(pretty tasty), and cheesecake(could’ve used a flavored topping, otherwise delicious). Brian even made sure to put a lemon in my to-go ice water. Now that’s service! We’ll definitely be back, coupon or no coupon!

This place was terrible. I came in and sat at the bar nobody would serve my two friends and I. We had to flag a waiter down to get drinks. The manager was very rude as well. I would not suggest coming here.

I understand it is Gen Con weekend, and places are busy, but Robin(the name on my receipt) didn’t show any care or service to our party of three. It took 15 minutes to get our drinks, we got food in decent time, but we were ignored until we got our checks. No beverage refills, no questions, despite her passing or table, and paying attention to the table beside us, numerous times. Then, when my friends payed cash, she assumed that the change was her tip, and they had to track her down to get their change back. The food was excellent, however, which garnered an extra star. This location will not be getting any repeat business from me, I’ll be sticking with Avon or 96th St.

Best fish and chips in the city. The corned beef and cabbage is cooked perfectly. It can get busy and noisey at night but its a great place. My only complaint is that they have yuengling on the menu but not at the bar.

Good Irish food. Irish coffee is delicious. Patio sitting available. Good scotch selection. Irish stew was okay but I’m a snob when it comes to Irish food.

Generic Irish bar feel, like Fado. Decent Irish breakfast and nice bar staff. No complaints.

I came here on Saint Patty’s Day to drink, so I cannot comment on the food. The place was packed, but bar service was great. I like the little opening at the bar where you can quickly order a beer or scotch. It’s very efficient. Draught beer selection could use some improving, but I did find a few things to drink. Husband enjoyed the scotches.

Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, my friend and I came to the Claddagh Irish Pub downtown to keep the spirits of the day alive! While they only had a limited menu due to the busyness of the Blarney Festival going on downtown, the service and food was still good. We ordered the fish and chips and the corn beef sandwich. Both were delicious! My friend is gluten free and they were very accommodating even though the restaurant was packed. Our waiter was friendly and the service was timely, even the manager checked on our table to ensure were were enjoying our time! Definitely would return either to have dinner or just to have a few drinks with friends!

The wife and I went here after a conference I was attending in Indianapolis. Great beer selection. Good specials. Wait staff friendly and efficient. I had bangers with potatoes. They were good. The wife had fish and chips, which were delicious. Unfortunately, this place was kind is dead. I get the impression that Indy is kind of dead after work hours during the week.

After the color run this year my group and I were itching for a cold drink and Claddagh’s was one of the few places open that early. And luckily, they had a $ 5 margarita/long island deal on Saturdays so there was no hesitation to go in. We were covered in color powder but the waitress was very friendly and took our drink orders immediately. My husband and I shared the the Jameson burger with chips and a small order of the mac & cheese. Both were absolutely delicious and very filling. I wanted the Fish n’ Chips but the price was ridiculous unfortunately. Otherwise, it was a great meal had by all.

While this isn’t usually one of my stops when I hit the town, I had a $ 10 reward card to redeem so we stopped in, and I think I found my favorite drink thus far in the downtown scene. Apple Pie Martini, um, yes please. Our bartender: so nice, and so attentive! The inside of Claddagh is really cool an definitely different from it’s neighboring bars and is a lot more intimate and comfortable. I can’t comment on the food because I didn’t grab any this visit, but I’ll definitely be coming back to get my apple martini fix!(And at $ 5 for any specialty drink on Thursdays, you can’t afford not too!)
