No longer open. Went today and the door had a for lease sign. Went to Stacked Pickle instead.

–Good, huge, juicy burger
–Amazing pepper jack cheese
–Nice, polite, personable service
–Nice salad bar, good burger toppings
–fries were frozen and just heated up in an oven, meh.
Overall good experience, good burger. The burger wasn’t as good as 5 guys, but the extras (salad, chili, hot dogs) were worth it.

Trendy, industrial, clean and simple is the décor inside. Service is fast and friendly. Make your own delicious chili and salad or indulge in a burger the way you want it. I think this place is just the joint if you are looking for a quick bite to eat for lunch or even dinner. Food is tasteful, not bland nor filled with strange exotic flavors. Good ‘ol fashioned chili, burgers, soups, salads and more. Most likely come back to this place during lunch hours. Overall experience was great.

Honestly some of the best chilli I have EVER had! This place is really good! I docked it one star because I feel like the price of the bowl of chilli is on the expensive side ($ 7) but it is worth every penny. Put the crackers they give you in your chilli. It’s amazing!

Great experience here! As others have mentioned, the owner is super friendly and personable.
He offered me a drink while I waited for my wife and daughter to arrive (no charge!).
He was super helpful, explained all of the food options with useful tips (the chili burger is very messy, plan to eat it with a fork), offered samples of the various chilis, and made sure I got the most bang for my buck when I ordered.
Last point on the excellent service I received while there– the owner gave me and my wife a complimentary bowl of chili to go after he prepared it for another customer and she decided to change her order.
Now, onto the good and the restaurant itself.
The chili isn’t blow your mind good, but your ability to customize it with all of the delicious dressings guarantees that you’ll enjoy your bowl.
I got a cup of chili and side salad for 5.95, and couldn’t finish either. The salad bar was unexpectedly good also.
This place seems like a really good addition to the family of restaurants popping up around IUPUI and they are definitely courting their customers.
Definitely give it a shot if you’re local and looking for a casual meal with ample quantities and reasonable prices!

Very yummy! It hit the spot. It’s Friday and I just want to eat I wanna get fat food and thought I’ll give this place a try. It’s basically a chili bar with all the self serve toppings you want. I ordered off the menu a chili cheese burger that was made into a bowl. Basically slice the bun in half and used the bottom as a bowl and chili. And loved that I could put all the cheese I wanted. It was very big, I could only finish half. I will be definitely coming back!

I went here with my boyfriend after a doctor appointment, we were both feeling a little blah after sitting in the hospital for so long and we were starving. This place sure did satisfy our hunger! We both ordered chili and a salad from the menu and we were able to pick our own toppings. The owner was so nice, he gave my boyfriend a free hat for it being our first time! We will definitely be back for more :)

We are at the hospital for my dad’s heart issues and was looking for a good restraunt at a reasonable price. Charlie and Barney’s has good food, friendly service, and good prices. Something for all people. Excellent salad bar, delicious chili and burgers, dogs and wings are all available. Don’t miss this little shop on the corner. Quick get away from hospital and back to loved ones.

I just got C & B’s via Order Up Delivery Svc and what a perfect wintry in home dinner. I ordered the Swanky Frank w/​fries and completely enjoyed my loaded up frank. The fries had a little seasoning on them which added a nice touch. I also ordered a lg bowl of beef chili just because I had to have some chili from a chili house. It was nicely pkg’d and I plan on having a late night snack w/​some chili later. I requested the sour cream and crackers on the side for warming. I would 100% suggest using Order Up for some cozy chili at home this winter!

This is a great place to visit… Staff is very happy and treat you as a friend! Food is fresh and taste good. Alway is clean and neat restaurant, employees take pride in their location. I had a Cheeseburger and added a bunch of toppings at the topping bar!

Turkey Chili was good. Have nice selection on toppings bar for no extra charge. Also decent salad bar. Got a Coney dog & seemed like good quality Beef dog. Friend got burger & he enjoyed it. Staff was very nice and it was very clean inside.

Chili is awesome, got a free bowl for their grand opening by using my FlockTag card. You can add all the toppings you want from the salad bar for free. Pepsi products on fountain and the hot dogs taste just like the Vienna style hot dogs from Chicago. I sampled their chicken salad and it was pretty good, chicken salad isn’t really my thing though so I stick with the hot dog and chili.
