Delicious and especially hits the spot when you’re exhausted and starving. Burgers are huge! I can taste the freshness and quality in every bite. Pretty sure nothing here is frozen. Wanted to try the garlic fries but was vetoed. My bf and I shared halves of the shroom burger and western burger. Very casual place. You walk up and order and they bring it out to you. Fries are in paper baskets, burgers wrapped in paper. Get a shake for dessert, they are so good and hand dipped! Nice people. Sit out on the patio and watch the cars go by. Easily a place you can just show up in your yoga pants and not feel weird about it. Great music. Has some indoor seating to beat the heat. The place is small. On a Sunday night at 6pm it wasn’t very busy. Bru Burger is still my favorite, but I have to put on real pants and makeup to go there… and sometimes you’re just so tired and hungry that can be a real challenge. Boogie is easily a close second, if not a tie. Decent prices for a damn good burger. Check out the artwork of Jimmi Hendrix on the wall that is made of old broken records, very cool.

I don’t get it. This place is perfectly average. The décor, the service, the burgers, the fries. It is all fine. nothing more. I think it’s overpriced for the food quality. You can get a way better burger with better fries for less money at a handful of BR locations. There is nothing wrong with it… it’s just not that great in my book. I really don’t understand all the glowing reviews– we’ve been twice and both times were disappointing when we were yearning for a burger. We don’t go again.

Came here on a visit and this is where they wanted to eat. Burgers were great. The rest of the group raved about the garlic fries but I didn’t care for them. Good vegetarian selection. I would go back again.

It’s a good burger. A really good, diner style, grilled tasting burger. Three of us went. Three of us left fat and happy. Folks who work there are laid back and nice and the music is groovy. There is nothing fancy about the place and that’s a good thing. They offer several different varieties like the Maui with pineapple and teriyaki, NYNY with pastrami. They all looked great but I’m a purist, I went with cheddar and bacon and was not disappointed. The garlic fries are a must if you are a true fresh garlic lover. They burn so good :) I had a strawberry shake too(I’m clearly aiming to give myself a heart attack, I know). Anyway, it was really good… fresh and not too thick. Will for sure be going back.

What a great, classic burger joint. Many burger restaurants around Indy are pretty fancy or overpriced, but Boogie Burger offers reasonably priced burgers that taste fantastic. I will admit though — I was a little hesitant at first to try it. The outside looks a tad sketchy with its shack infrastructure. Even though it is a more run-down joint, that’s what makes it so unique! It doesn’t have the fluff that other burger restaurants have. If you want a GOOD burger, then come here! I tried the Chipotle black bean burger to mix things up, and wow! It was fantastic. It had so much flavor with its blend of black beans, onions, green chilies, peppers & brown rice, topped with all the fixings of lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, pepper jack cheese and onion. The other plus was that the service was quick! I didn’t have to wait too long in line and I got my burger pretty fast. The only problem is the lack of seating. I went with my dad on a Monday night, and it was pretty crowded. They do have outdoor seating, so I’m sure that helps on nice days when it is busy. In summary, everyone needs to «boogie» on over to Boogie Burger! ;)

I’ve had the Disco Inferno burger, the BLT, ranch/cheese fries and onions rings and I love it all. This place has some good eats!

Went to Boogie Burger for dinner on a weeknight. I ordered the Boogie Burger with American cheese(classic) and garlic fries. I was not blown away by the burger. It was fine, but I don’t feel like I would ever recommend this to someone as having the«BEST» burgers in Indy. They also don’t cook to your meat to your desired temperature(rare, medium, etc.). Burgers come well-done. The garlic fries were definitely good though! The whole place smells like garlic when you walk in, and YOU will smell like garlic when you walk out! The regular size is plenty big enough to share with one other person, so for $ 3.99 a basket I would recommend sharing! They also have milkshakes here. I didn’t order one, but they looked amazing. I can’t see myself driving to BRipp to specifically for a burger from here, but would stop by again if I was already in the area and was craving a burger.

It was love at first bite, as cliché as it sounds! Indianapolis has a lot of burger restaurants, but Boogie Burger stands out to me because the hamburgers remind me of the greasy spoon charbroiled burger joints in Southern California: those places with names like Yellow Basket #8 or Tom’s #17. Just good and unpretentious food. We got the Wild Wild West burger(cheddar cheese, hickory smoked bacon, onion rings and barbecue sauce) and the Double Boogie Burger. Be warned: The double burger is huge! It’s seriously, like, two burgers(so I guess it’s literally a double burger). The Wild Wild West burger was delicious, as everything with bacon is, and it, too, was rather large. We also got onion rings, and what really took them over the edge of greatness was the horseradish dipping sauce that they came with. I’ve never tasted anything like it, and now I don’t ever want to eat onion rings any other way. I wish they sold that sauce!

Maybe I expected too much, but I didn’t enjoy this experience and will not repeat it. I was expecting somewhat of a gourmet burger, but what I got was well done, salty, and seemed like a preformed frozen patty. We shared a side of garlic fries, which were cold, and had no salt, pepper, or Parmesan to balance the very intense garlic flavor. The dining room is very small, and I found it pretty uncomfortable. I was in a booth directly facing countertop seating, so people are basically just staring at you while you eat. No thanks! Haha. It wasn’t the worst burger ever, but I’ll stick to Five Guys for my cheap burgers and Bru Burger for my gourmet choice.

The service was friendly, the burger was good(not great) but, the fries left me wondering if the $ 11 price was worth it. If you’re looking to get away from the usual fast food burgers then you could do worse than this place.

This place was great. A little cozy restaurant that has amazing food. Burger was fantastic and the garlic fries are to die for! It’s a little pricy but worth it for a special treat!

We were in town visiting friends and wanted to go somewhere local. Stopped in at Boogie around 4:30pm on a Saturday. It wasn’t overly crowded, but a word of wisdom, this isn’t really a «group» place to eat. They have about 5 dinner tables, and seating for about 20 at high tops/bar height. We went with our 2 year old son and another couple and their toddler. We luckily got a table and they had high chairs which was so helpful. Now to the food — I ordered their ahi tuna sandwich and it was delicious. Too much bun, so I ate it with only one piece of the bun. Tasty nonetheless. My husband got one their signature burgers served with bacon and an egg. His only complaint was that they didn’t ask him what temperature he wanted the burger… I think a good burger place should ALWAYS ask what temperature you want your burger. His burger ended up being a touch over cooked… Bummer. We also got their garlic Parmesan fries and their cheese fries with bacon. Both were plenty. We actually should’ve only ordered one of them because we had tons of fries left over. Kinda felt like a waste. All in all, I’m happy we got to experience a local spot and I would recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

I finally tried Boogie Burger. I’ve been meaning to try it since I moved to Indy. It was pretty good. I got the Disco Inferno burger or something. and a strawberry malt. The malt was on point. The burger was good, but they aren’t joking… it’s hot as hell. Definitely try. Probably not somewhere I’d go all the time though, just cause it’s really heavy. but if you like burgers like that, ya know.

Do you love garlic? I mean REALLLY love it? Because if you do, you’re in luck! Prepare to be smacked in the face with the beautiful overpowering smell of garlic fries, and even if you were just stopping in for a little smackeral of burger(not exactly possible anyway with the generous portions) you will have difficulty resisting those fries. And let me tell you, these are not for the weak. or for first dates. Delicious, greasy, and potent. You get the price and timeliness of a quick service joint but all the deliciousness of a gourmet burger. The outdoor patio is covered and is a nice open space for warm weather days, but inside is decorated with eclectic art. I will add my sig. other and several others were grumbling about having to pee in the worlds smallest bathroom, but that’s a small price to pay for such great food.

I went to Boogie’s for lunch for the first time today to celebrate a co-worker’s birthday. The line was almost out the door! I’m sure that’s because we went right at noon, so if you choose to go at that time be prepared to wait. It’s alright because it gives you time to salivate over their many options and admire all the interesting wall art. I wound up picking their BLT, since I have a weakness for them and their onion rings, since I have a weakness them as well, apparently. While I waited, I tried another co-worker’s fries and they were pretty good. Too much garlic for me personally but I know there’s no such thing for some people! My BLT came LOADED with bacon. Crunchy, fresh lettuce, a must to counterbalance the grease from the bacon. Sadly, there was only one slice of tomato. I should have asked for more on the side when I noticed but honestly I wasn’t too bothered. It was still an excellent sandwich and I would get it again. The bacon was thick cut, but cooked just right. I think I would have preferred thinner, crispier bacon, for ease of eating, as the thicker cut required a good deal more chewing. However, I think most people would prefer the robustness of all the thicker bacon, so take my review with a grain of salt. The onion rings were out-of-this-world good! Like, I’m-still-thinking-about-how-good-they-were good. Slightly sweet batter, buttery soft onion, dusting of salt. Probably the best onion ring I’ve encountered in Indy so far. Service was great. Very fast. Polite. Friendly. I’ll definitely be going back, not just to try their other selections but to share with others who haven’t been yet. Highly recommend!

The kids would eat here every day of they could! Boogie Burger has been rocking our socks for years. I always opt for the black bean or garden burger with garlic fries.(I’m smiling as I type this!) My boys have tried most of the specialty burgers and love every one. We’re always too full for ice cream or a shake but those are probably just as great. There is typically adequate seating and parking. The outdoor area is nice on warm nights as well. They seem to have a steady stream of customers in the new location and for that I am abundantly glad. An outstanding small business I’m proud to support!

Not bad for a change of pace lunch. I took Unilocal friend Allison’s recommendation and went with the chili and peanut butter burger(!) and fries. It didn’t even occur to me that it would be a knife and fork affair(duh) when I really just wanted a burger. Either way, the meat was very tasty and the peanut butter on there was… different. Eclectic place with nice outdoor patio area. Probably not somewhere I will stop at regularly due to distance but was still worthwhile. Would come here again.

I can’t say that I have much to add to the previous reviewers, but I do have a few quick updates based on a visit in August 2015: 1) They WILL cook your burger medium rare if you ask for it. It was more like medium, but it was very juicy and not a hockey puck, which I appreciated. 2) It is definitely dog friendly on the patio. Not really announced dog friendly, but the workers don’t come outside so no one ever says anything. 3) If you order and sit on the patio you need to go check on your order, it won’t magically make its way to your table. 4) Things aren’t overly greasy on a burger standard, but you will need several hundred napkins if you order the Wild Wild West burger and Boogie Fries.

Boogie Burger can also be found by it’s pseudonym — Greasie Burger(intentionally spelled wrong for those with no sense of humor). I ordered the New York New York Burger which has pastrami on it. I made a strong assumption prior to ordering that the pastrami they use is made and pre-sliced from their food distributor. After eating it, I am all but certain that is the case as it lacked the peppery punch that pastrami gives you. As former Jew from New York(still Jewish, FYI… relocating doesn’t change your religion), this pastrami gave me none of that. The actual burger was good but I would try a new topping option. I ordered the garlic fries which was a good portion, but for $ 3.50, I would expect it to be as such. Other Unilocalers were correct stating that the garlic is heavy, but considering I go home alone most nights, it doesn’t impact my life. I’m fairly certain my dog will lick my face no matter what because he’s my dog. Get it? He’s my dog. I’m just as happy at Steak and Shake. PS. I am unsure if «Boogie» means to dance or to scream, a la Boogie Man. However, I did not dance and did scream at the total price for a burger, fries and a drink. Boogie Man strikes again.
