I dig the music! I had a good time stalking around this year, but unorganization is a mood killer for me. From not being able to find where the Masterpiece in a Day was being held, to the actual website giving wrong info, ugh. Other than that, I really enjoyed the various offerings(a parade, so cool!) and as always, Fountain Square is the coolest, and I hope to find my perfect house on Leonard St one day.

This is one of the best days of the year in the square. There is so much excitement in the street. I think it was a great idea moving the art fair from the parking lot out onto Viriginia and Prospect streets. The parade was awesome as always, really one of the most unique parades you could see. The vendors at the art fair were really great, selling some unique objects. I’ve never stuck around to see the masterpiece in a day judging, but it’s awesome to see so many people paiting everywhere you turn. Great Day!

This event is always fun but even better this year since they moved the location to the streets instead of the parking lot. Bought some art, had some brews, hung out with friends… FS had a buzz in the air. For me the event isn’t so much about the art and vendors but really just about our community in general. Love seeing my neighborhood so bustling and fun.

This was a great little event with a small town/neighborhood feel. The weather was incredible which brought out a lot of people just wanting something to do. Many of the restaurants had extra patrons. There were artists around creating their wares and booths with various displays. I saw many heads bobbing on the rooftop bar, although we didn’t go up. There was a special bike parking lot for those that live fairly close. I was really impressed with that. We just happened to be there when the parade started and because the roadblocks were disorganized, we were pinned in but enjoyed it. Parade was really nothing to speak of but everyone was having fun. It wasn’t mentioned, but this was the day that«Playing for Change» chose to play on the streets of Fountain Square. It’s a great organization for local musicians and was great for them to pare their talents with the artists. Music & Art on a beautiful day. Who can beat that?

We rode our bikes over to Fountain Square to check out ArtSquared. I hadn’t been to this event before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. People were sprawled out on sidewalks everywhere, art supplies in hand, painting or drawing. Various musical acts were playing around the area and there were plenty of booths for the art show. I love Fountain Square and it’s great to see so many people checking things out!
