Great employees at this shop. I was in a time crunch & walked right in to tell them the price range I was looking for. They pulled together a beautiful arrangement quickly. Unlike some floral shops, you can’t walk in & see their single flowers. However, the employees are very helpful & will make sure you are taken care of.

I’ve done business with Andrews for almost 8 years & made the mistake of calling a competitor since they were closer. Never again! I called Karen this morning after a terrible encounter with a Mass Ave florist & as always, they were helpful & friendly. And when I pick up my flowers tomorrow, I’m certain they will be fresh & beautiful as always!

They have balloons. Expensive, but they have them. Haven’t bought flowers here, so can’t comment on that part. They are close to downtown and have a parking lot on site.

One word comes to mind: RUDE.
My girlfriend’s best friend ordered her flowers for her birthday. I decided to work from home for the afternoon so that I could be around for the flowers to be delivered. The only problem? No one ever came by. I was home all afternoon and asked my landlord to be on the lookout for a delivery as well.
Nothing ever came.
Instead, I got a call around 4:30pm. They told me a delivery person had stopped by but no one answered and that we would need to come pick up the flowers (of course, they close at 5pm). I asked if they could let me know what time the delivery person «stopped by.» The woman huffed and puffed and said that would involve looking at the Driver’s Log. «That would be great,» I said.
She told me the driver stopped by at 2:30pm. When I mentioned I was home all afternoon and had in fact worked from home for the delivery, she was immediately defensive. «What sense would that make for the driver to say he went somewhere he didn’t?! He’s been working here for a long time.»
My response: «Well, it would certainly make delivering easier if you don’t actually go to a place and make people come in to pick up the items.»
She was very rude back to me, insisting that didn’t make sense and that her driver has worked there for several years. I brought up the fact that the delivery fee (my girlfriend’s friend paid more than $ 15 just for delivery) should be refunded and she was even more indignant.
The problem I have with this is that it all could have been resolved with a simple, «I’m sorry.» It’s a shame that this place is so close… I definitely will never use this place!

My husband sent me anniversary flowers from Andrews last Friday and I must say they were one of the most beautiful arrangements I’ve ever received (he’s a flower sender. The best part? They are still gorgeous 1 week later!
I can’t comment on pricing, but he said the staff at Andrews was pleasant and helpful making for an easy flower ordering process. I definitely recommend Andrews for high quality arrangements.

My experience was quite a bit different for my own wedding, but it may have been partially assisted by the fact that I brought my own pictures to illustrate which flowers, what color scheme, and what shapes of bouquets and boutinnieres I was looking for. They turned out great, and they worked within my price range.
They even provided bundles of loose lavender stems that I later incorporated myself into the wedding table arrangements (since, to save money, I had ordered additional flowers from Sam’s Club in bulk for the tables). They knew I was running my own show, on a tight budget, and worked with me to make my vision happen.
Also, for events associated with my work, I go to Andrews, since I work for a non-​profit. I go because I know they respect budgets, as they had done for my wedding. For fundraising dinners, etc., all I have to do is send John or Anne a picture of a centerpiece arrangement, tell them what my budget is, and they come as close as they can to matching the color scheme and shape in flowers that might be more seasonal or less expensive. They wind up looking great at the event and staying fresh for days afterwards when guests take them home. So, all told, it’s a nice family operation they have there, so long as you communicate what you want and what you can afford.

Within about 2 minutes of starting my wedding consultation, I knew I was wasting my time. The consultant was unimaginative and uninspired. He gave me a book to choose from — not point out things I liked, but to choose my bouquet from.
The consultant didn’t appear to listen — I said white roses seemed cliché and wanted something more «seasonal» for my fall nuptuals. What did he offer up? White roses for everyone!
Once I got over a few off-​color comments and jabs about his other clients, I had to laugh when he asked if my 8-​month-​pregnant bridesmaid «wouldn’t be showing, right?»
Save yourself time and move on to other gardens.
