After having purchased five tires from
, I took them into AS Tires to be balanced and mounted. Firstly, my wheels are aluminum, and therefore require a full harmonic balance with internal, stick-​on weights. They did this. This is wonderful. If you see people pounding on lead weights to your lovely mag/​aluminum rims, RUN! As well, they immediately resolved a matter with the wrong type of valve stem. The staff are friendly and helpful, prices are perfectly reasonable. No complaints. Would go back anytime.

Quick repair, friendly staff, fair price. I went to All Star Tire after researching the retail price for the part I needed. Including labor, I was only charged $ 100 more than the part would have cost me at Autozone. No one suggested any other repair or services. I took a star off because the interior of my car came back a bit dirty, but that could have been the towing company too.

Wow! I just returned from an oil change and tire replacement, and I could not be more impressed. I called Friday afternoon and got an appointment on Monday morning. The customer service was outstanding; everyone was incredibly kind and professional. Most impressively, they helped me save money. When I asked for a new tire, they asked if I wanted to consider a repair first (which I didn’t), and also offered the option of a used tire (yes please). They are conveniently located by the canal and other downtown places of interest, so I decided to stay, but they also offer a downtown shuttle that I will take advantage of in the future.

Ugh, this is the sort of place that tells you a new thing is «wrong» with your car every time you bring it in. One time your brakes are supposedly is horrible condition. Even though you do nothing to fix the brakes, the next time you bring the car in, they don’t mention the brakes. Instead it’s something else that’s in horrible condition and needs to be fixed. Not trustworthy, and I haven’t been impressed with their fixes of the things that actually were broken either.

I came here one day after work, in a hurry I ask how long it be for an oil change. The front desk clerk told me about 1hr 30 min. I told her that was too long of a wait for me, as soon as I said that she rolled her eyes at me and told me that’s the usual time it takes to have an oil change. As someone who works in customer service, and enjoys it, I was extremely bothered by her reaction and decided not to wait, based on her rudeness toward me. You can’t just roll your eyes at customers, I’m sorry you lost my business. I don’t like businesses with bad customer service from the start.

Yes these people are all very nice and continued to be very nice even as they charged me $ 148 for a new battery (with only a yr warranty) $ 75 worth of «labor» for installing the new battery and a computer diagnostic saying it wasn’t the alternator. Plus $ 12 for «supplies» And this wasn’t even done in one day. The battery is easily accessible in my car and I could have changed it via a YouTube video if I had a garage and some muscles.
I partly blame myself for not shopping around first… Because after I did, I discovered I was screwed over even more than I thought. All 5 other places I called downtown (Goodyear, Firestone, jiffy lube, etc) quoted this exact stuff up for me and the highest price was $ 160.
Quote before you go to them, I’m sure they do great work, but this little task was not worth the cost.

I received excellent service here and I would send anybody here for service.
I was greeted immediately when I walked in the door about late afternoon after getting off work. All I needed was an oil change.
Less than an hour later I was in my way out. They took care of everything, even checked all my car fluids and rotated my tires for free. They were so nice and I felt like they cared about me and my car. The owner or manager, can’t remember even helped exchange my old wiper blades out with new ones I had purchased months ago but couldn’t figure out how to do it myself.

Great service, friendly and top quality work. I now take my three vehicles here for all service. An Acura, a Honda Accord and a Tundra full size pickup. All three are 10+ yrs old and they keep them running great don’t ever feel like unnecessary work is being recommended. They do their homework and get the job done right. Excellent family owned and operated business. And VERY convenient if you live and work in downtown Indy.

Had a flat on my way to Indianapolis and had AAA put the spare on. Looked up tires on the Internet and All Star popped up. Asked what my options were. Dave said my tires and the spare were good. Rather than buy new tires he suggested a good used tire as a spare. Then I could get a matched tire in Chicago, rather than put unmatched on, since they didn’t have my brand. 20 min and $ 20 for the spare I was on my way.

Speedy service and an extra discount because we’re driving across the country. These dudes are what’s up.

these guys are great and their rates are far cheaper than the other tire shops downtown. I always buy my tires at coker or tire rack and have them shipped to all star and have never had a problem. they also will work on my old car tube tires which most places dont have a clue about.

Went in to have a bent rim fixed after hitting a pothole, and the staff was nice as could be. I had taken the tire off myself, and they fixed it within a couple of days. Unfortunately, they never called me to tell me it was done, and I needed it as I was taking a trip over the weekend. When I went in to get my tire, they rolled it out to the waiting room to me. I asked if they could put it on. Every other tire shop does this without asking! My options given to me were «make an appointment for Monday» or «we might be able to in an hour or so». Really? I was also pawned off to another clerk by the owner (maybe) so he could help someone else who came in after me. Not going back!

Very friendly and helpful staff — have been for oil changes to alignment and tire issues and have always been taken care of well. Prices are about what you would expect and the service is consistently great.

Panic and anguish ensues whenever you blow a tire, because, whether you have somewhere to be or not, you definitely won’t be going anywhere any time soon. That is, unless you have a fast, reliable AAA or tire service center nearby. Well, I was in situation recently where both of my driver-​side tires blew out on the interstate and I only had, of course, one spare. Emotionally disturbed and angry from the passing traffic, I called All Star Tire & Auto, and their polite, knowledgeable staff had me towed into the garage and riding off with two brand new tires in less than an hour. I can’t express how relieved I was, but believe me when I say that I’ll never go anywhere else for my automotive needs.

My 10 year old Focus broke down in downtown Indy. I asked AA Hoosier Auto Service who they would recommend in the downtown area and they recommended All Star Tire. All Star replaced the battery, a coil, and something called a «deca grip» at a cost of $ 507.99. Three days later, the car broke down again. I had it towed back to All Star hoping that it was something that they could fix cheap. This time they replaced the alternator at a cost of $ 508.68. When I got it back, it rode very «rough» as if it was missing out which it never did before. At this point I decided I would just write it off and there was over $ 1,000 down the drain. At least the car was running, right? Then a few days later All Star calls to see how my car was running. When I told them what it was doing they insisted I bring it in. I did so. This time I took my 6 foot plus son in with me. Did I mention that I’m a single lady in my 50’s who knows absolutely nothing about cars– perfect victim for unscrupulous mechanics.
This time they replaced the points and plugs at no cost to me. The car was actually running better than it had in a while … for less than a week when it broke down again in traffic displaying the same symptoms as it did when it broke down the first two times. I’ve had it hauled back to All Star. I have absolutely no expectations that they will get the car running … maybe I got a bad battery or alternator. Maybe they just don’t know what they’re doing. I’ll let you know. By the way, the guys that work at All Star are super friendly and wanted me to know that they wanted me to go away satisfied. Not happening guys.
Update: The car broke down again. I had to have it hauled in. Apparently the alternator that All Star put in was bad. They replaced it — no cost to me as the alternator has a «life time guarantee.» This is good … but didn’t feel so good when the car broke down on Keystone and 33^rd St. Never fun when you’re broken down.
Ok. 5^th time might be the charm. On Friday, Dec 23, I was driving in the downtown area when the alternator light started flashing. took it to All Star and they reported that a «clip» was not fastened tightly and they did fix it. They even apologized for it. Wow. First time in 5 visits. Okay. Again I have to say that these guys are the nicest people ever. But really. 5 times to get is going … so far.
