I don’t think I’ve ever been disappointed with the level of customer service at any Ace and this location is no exception. Fun and very helpful staff.

Having a hardware store close to home is always a life saver, especially if you get into a sticky situation. For some reason, I used to forget that this store existed. My lack of memory probably cost me a longer drive to acquire simple supplies. Nestled just north of 38th Street since the 1930s, the store can be hard to miss. if you’re not looking for this little hardware store, you might miss it. While the store is small, it carries almost anything you would need for a light project. The staff is usually very helpful and is more than willing to give free advice. They seem to have a great deal of patience, especially with über-non-handy customers such as myself. The store is also well organized and easy to navigate. You also won’t have any trouble finding a parking space, as their lot(which is shared) is massive! I was especially impressed at their stock of rock salt, snow shovels, and other gear in preparation for the January 2014 blizzard. While the store might not have the selection of a major hardware retailer(e.g. Lowes, Home Depot), they have the essentials needed for everyday tasks.

They’re always so helpful and friendly here. This is one of my favorite hardware stores, even if it isn’t humongous. All the keys I’ve had made here have WORKED. At Big Box Store they’re at about 60% for keys working. Their end-of-season sales are really good and the prices are pretty decent on most other stuff too. I’m glad to have this store less about 2 miles from home.

Always very helpful staff. It is a smaller store, but they still seem to have a good inventory.

Definitely the most helpful crew of hardware associates in the city. I wish this Ace hardware was on every corner of every neighborhood I have to work in

I am eye-hooked and dry-wall anchored to hardware stores. Is this a part of settling down? Or, «nesting?» Or, losing my sense of the Y chromosome so I have to go into hardware stores to buy duct tape to feel like a man? Better yet, a beautiful woman(significant other!) asks to get some duct tape! That’s the tops! Maybe as I get older my life just yields more reasons to go to a hardware store, and I’m loving every minute of it. Another venture in the unknown was my strength. I had no idea. When packing for a move I looked at boxes of books like daunting skyscrapers that I would never be able to heave-ho like I could in the video game Rampage. There I am moseying along… painting new home walls and snap goes the screw between the roller handle and the extension pole. It snaps right off. Am I pressing too hard? Hmmm… I had no idea! Duct tape is straight up the gateway drug of hardware. All you need is just one small need of duct tape to get me to buy: 2 paint rollers, 2 paint roller extension poles, 3 paint detail brushes and 1 bottle of cola. Boom, fifty bucks. I must look like a total rook because I’ve been in two hardware stores in two days, and amazingly kind gentlemen have offered their advice up to me about painting. Hey, I’ll admit I don’t know what in the world I’m doing, but I so love this.
