Tried to go there yesterday after looking them up on Unilocal… sign in the window says they have moved to Mass Ave. Would have been nice if they would update their online info as well. Time wasted…

I am almost hesitant to review this place because I don’t want to draw attention to it, because I want to be able to buy all the wonderful, unique pieces myself! This is vintage heaven right here, folks. We were guided straight to exactly what we were looking for by the friendly and intuitive saleswoman who works here. She was able to give us the history of the piece, and ideas for how to use it, and when we were hesitant to buy because of the price tag, she chopped the price in HALF. In half, people. I almost cried. Now we have a beautiful, well-crafted mid-century modern piece of furniture that we will love for the rest of our life, and we got it at a steal. We arranged to have it delivered, and it was delivered without a ding or scratch by their staff. And they even showed up exactly on time! I love this place.

My husband and I used to come here to admire the cool things. One day we noticed the place was overcrowded, and because of this, we got a great deal on a lot of furniture. They post new items on their Facebook page, which is so useful!

One of the few places left where you can say, «I got my money’s worth» and,“It was worth every penny!” If you are looking for value, quality, AND uniqueness this is the place! Moving into our first home my wife and I weren’t interested in the put it together yourself boxed furniture we had in college and every furniture store we went to had the exact same floor models and catalogs to flip through; boring and uninspiring. Then we discovered 62nd Street, WOW!!! The pieces on the floor are incredible. From antique to contemporary there are amazing finds everywhere you look. I have seen some user’s comments about their pricing but this is NOT a thrift store or your average used furniture place. You cannot get the quality and craftsmanship you will find at 62nd Street at their price anywhere else. And if you are really interested in an item they are willing to make a deal with you! Our salesperson was able to guide us to exactly what we were looking for and the store manager gave us an additional 30% off our purchase to close the deal. If you are looking for value and quality; furniture worth the investment at a great discount this is the first place you should go.

99% of the used furniture and artwork is not my taste, but the one piece that I had to have was a treasure. Because the owners own all the inventory, and they aren’t on consignment, the furniture is carefully selected and purchased from estates far and wide. They do sell very nice used furniture, and they have taken great pains to clean and restore it. This is not like Goodwill or the Salvation Army quality; it’s much, much nicer, but the store has as much square footage if not more. It rivals many new, retail furniture stores in space and quantity. It is much nicer and better than most resale, furniture stores and even antique shops. Like a previous Unilocaler said, they have a wide range of furniture representing many different genres. The prices are reasonably, and if you don’t feel they are, the friendly staff will work with you on coming to a price you might like more. We asked if they could do better, and they knocked 20% off. This shop is definitely worth checking-out from time-to-time.

When I’m looking for a unique, specific piece, I include 62nd Street’s 7,000 sq.ft. in my top shopping spots. Wide range of decades represented — vintage, mid-century, antiques even today. All reasonable pricing & prices easy to see on each item. Very organized, not mountains of stuff you fear will bury you… Our great finds included a laminate drafting table and 60s vintage replica floor lamp we call«The Octopus.» The father/daughter team were friendly and helpful — the father helped my husband load our new treasures. If you want to preview some of their inventory, be sure to check their website. Owner says they try to post photos of new items on a regular basis.

I haven’t bought anything yet, but I’ve been by several times. I found something I wanted, but the next time I was there it was gone. Tables, chairs, beds, desks, entertainment centers, bookshelves, end-tables, coffee tables, dining sets, home bar furniture. They have antiques and good used furniture. Not the kind of junk you normally see at second-hand stores. I’m not an expert, but I think a lot would quality as «vintage». The prices seemed great too. I saw lots of stuff that were in like-new condition at less than ½ the price of new. They do refinishing here. So it’s not a bunch of crap that you have to refinish yourself. It’s stuff you could put right in your home.
