History

Established in 1952.

30^th Street Animal Clinic has been an established animal clinic since the 1950’s. It was originally started out of a farm house on the present day property. In the 1970’s the existing hospital was built by Dr. Gerald McVeigh. The clinic changed hands in 2003, with the current owners still running the clinic.

We have a clientele of over 1000 patients and some travel as far away as 45 miles to see us. We have several truck drivers that make special stops on the Eastside of Indianapolis, just for us to see their pets.

My name is Dr. Kelly Barnes and I graduated from Iowa State University in 1988. Upon graduation I moved to Indianapolis and took a position at a small animal practice. I remained there for 6 years. I then became an emergency/​critical care clinician at a local emergency hospital for the next 8 years. In 2003, I purchased 30^th Street Animal Clinic. I reside in Indianapolis with my husband, 3 children, 3 cats and 2 dogs. In my spare time I enjoy reading, spending time with my family and dabbling in genealogy. My most recent genealogy inquiry took me to Germany, my first trip abroad. It was a great experience!
