I have lived in an apt owned by PSM and I have never been so disgusted or frustrated with a landlord or rental company in my life. I moved into a dirty apartment for starters and hired a cleaning crew that took 5 hrs to even put a dent in the filth of this place. The front door was broken with holes in and when I asked for a replacement in April I didn’t get a new door till Aug!!! The ac unit is moldy and flooded my living room area. I can’t use it because I don’t want to get sick. Company was notified a guy came out used a plastic knife he found on the ground scraped some stuff out and said «you’re all set»… problem not solved!!! My apartment was broken into and they did nothing about it I even had to replace my own locks and put a chain on the door because I didn’t feel safe. Two of the burners in the stove don’t work even after calling three months ago for someone to come fix it!!! Finally there was a tenant that moved out two apts down and left food, garbage and furniture in the place. PSM let that apt sit there for 3 months even came and out to put an eviction notice on the door. Never cleaned for three months you could see the bugs and roaches crawling around the Windows. I had to call the health dept, the city, the code enforcer and finally the police to get someone to come out and clean that place after the police said it was uninhabitable!!! They threw a bug bomb in it and left without cleaning any of it so our two apartments got infested with everything in that apt!!! My water was shut off 3 months in a row because PSM never paid the bill. Tim and Randall arethe true definition of slum lords!!! Do not rent from them!!! I repeat do not rent from them!!!

Randall has managed my real estate rentals in Gulfport for over 12 years, before Phillip Scott Management was formed. He is an excellent manager and from my discussions with tenants when I visited the apartments and correspondence from them on his website, he has maintained excellent relations with them. If something needs to be done he has always taken care responsibly. Frankly, I don’t think there is a property manager better than Randall and his team anywhere.

Fun update–
28 days later and continued contacts to bbb and he still is a crappy landlord who only responds by force. He also doesn’t have any respect. I’m going to call channel 8 news and contact the actual owners of the property. My poor neighbors have been trying to get ahold of Randall for 3 months because the have no running water in their kitchen… they had us come to see if we could help fix it but we couldn’t figure out how without them paying for a plumber. She has been washing her dishes in her bathtub. My other neighbors are finally moving water for not having water in their kitchen either for over a year. Now, everyone is having water issues and the toilets here are not flushing and are gurgling… there is raw sewer draining out the side of the building and it STIIIIINNKKKS so bad and is rolling down the parking lot. I am so over it. I am contacting the health department tomorrow as well as code enforcement for the disgusting trashy mess that us all over this property. I’ve had it. Even though he has many properties, if you would look up slum lord in the dictionary you’d have phillip scott as the definition.

I have been renting from Phillip Scott for a few years now. I started in Bardmoor and now stay in the Savannah Apts. If I move again I will definitely be staying with one of Phillip Scott’s properties.
The staff at Phillip Scott has been so helpful and kind to me. I would definitely recommend renting from them. They treat all their tenants like family. They are quick to resolving problems even on the weekends!

Do not rent from this management company! They will not respond to your calls, emails, or text. I had rats living in my air ducts and walls, which wasnt a big deal to them. Do not expect your security deposit back if you rent from this company. They know what they can get away with and will keep your deposit even if you leave the apartment in perfect shape. Please stay away from them, especially Randall.
