History

Established in 1981.

, Michael Jablaoui opened up «Michael’s Mens Store» at 201 5^th Avenue in Indialantic. Soon-​after he brought his brother, Bob, from Lebanon to help in the tailor shop. Since then Michael has also brought in his Nephew, Eddie, from Syria to help handle the alterations for women, and his son Michael Jr. to help with running the store. The entire business is family owned and operated, with Michael’s wife doing all the book-​work.

Michael Jablaoui, owner of Michael’s Mens Store, started tailoring at the young age of 13 years old in Tripoli Lebanon. In 1970, he moved to the United States and continued to work as a tailor in Detroit Michigan where he lived for approximately 10 years. While in Michigan Michael worked for a man named David Hiller for 8 years as a tailor.

David Hiller decided to open a men’s clothing store named «Hillers Stores for Men» in Indialantic Florida in 1978. Michael was quick to move to the Sunshine state with his Wife Viviane and Daughter Zana in 1979. Continuing his work as a tailor for about 2 years until David Hiller closed the clothing store and sold the building in 1981. The vary same day Michael was able to rent the same building and open his own clothing business «Michael’s Mens Store»!
