Tommy’s Concrete

I requested an estimate for the concrete work on a Garage addition. The estimate is for a
28′ X 40′ garage. With web research and other means of price estimation this project should cost in the area of $ 7,000 to 8,000. Apparently the recommendations on advisory pages like Don’t Get Ripped off have no ideal of the actual charge.
I’m looking at a Garage of about 1120 sq ft. Tommy’s concrete came in with an estimate of $ 14,000 for the project. The following are estimates on your garage:
rough grade and excavation: $ 2000.
Footing and wall: $ 7500.
Floor Slab: $ 4500.
Total: $ 14 000.
That’s quiet a jump from the $ 8,000 suggested fair cost. I personally thinks it’s extremely HIGH, however, that’s just my opinion.
Perhaps for those looking for Concrete work this will give you and indication of what this Company charges. I estimate the concrete done by Tommy’s concrete to cost about $ 12.50 per sq ft. not the suggested $ 6 per square ft.
