I haven’t been to this store for a couple of years because how terribly it was run before. It was filthy and managed very poorly. I came back in today to give it another chance. I’m so glad I did! This store has had a complete overhaul since I was in last. It almost looks like a department store upon walking in. Very clean, well organized, and brightly lit. Everyone of the staff I came across was very nice and helpful(even though I didn’t need much help finding stuff because of how well it is organized). I found three pair of pants that looked brand new and were reasonably priced, and 5 shirts, also very nice and well priced. I saw a lot of great items in the housewares department also. Several items of Corningware with no stains or chips, including the lids!!! This store is back on my rotation of weekly places to shop. This is by far the nicest thrift store in Independence. If you get a chance to stop in and take a look, do it!

Always fund a great deal here on clothes and furniture. Also books I always look at those since I love to read.

Very good store that has great hours and dependable people to staff it. Great Houswares/Collectibles. Great clothing selection. A definite good value for regular thrifters.

Carrying around a Red Rack’s Groupon, I noticed, these past few days, my Halloween costume shifted to something else. I also needed a raincoat that was stylish. I had looked at several places, and was planning on getting one. So, off I drove to this location. This is in northern Independence at 23rd street and 291. It is a large store, and neatly arranged. It is owned by the DAV, and has several donation bins outside the store(that I dropped a few bags into.) I walked into a brightly lit cheery store that the clothing and housewares area were both distinguished, as were the ladie’s, men’s and children’s clothes. The ladies coats(which is what I was looking for) continued up a long aisle, all in good repair, and fairly priced. I was so happy when I found one, which almost looked like the higher priced coat I was looking at at a local sporting’s good store. I went looking for a short plaid skirt, found it. There are 3 fitting rooms, and they are also clean. I found several blouses that would fit my purpose. I was able to try them on in a fitting room. There are shoes, also in good repair. There are tons of comforters and blankets. I went down the houseware’s aisle, and fiund a high end cake pan, and nabbed that as well. High end cake pans, from a thrift store? I lucked out there. We found a tunic sweater, and a cute Halloween sweatshirt. The Groupon was for $ 20.00, and my clothes rang to $ 19.90. I have no complaints at all. This is a nice store, and I’ll utilize it.
