I think Krispy Kreme is one of the best doughnut chains. Went to this location while the red light was on and the worker greeted us a with a delicious hot doughnut right when we entered. They had an assortment of special holiday dougnuts… and you can never go wrong with the classic. The crème filled glazed ones are my all time favorites though.

This location never opens on time, if you want to grab a dozen donuts to take to work once they DO open, you’ll have to wait for them to cook. Went in the middle of the day also and they don’t seem to carry very many of the items listed on website. Lamars is way better, just about any other donut shoppe is better.

Worst experience ever. No hot doughnuts? It’s 930 am! No variety? They were put of EVERYTHING! It’s 930 am! No cake doughnuts for 2 more hours? It’s 930 am! No special doughnut of the month UNTILMONDAY?! Wtf? Lazy workers and even crappier management. Just got the grocery and buy the boxed ones. You’re getting the same thing.

Love K.K. and we don’t have any more where we live. But the counter gal was impatient with us. The donuts were old and stale. Big let down.

Hot Krispy Kream donuts are always worth the wait, it’s the ONLY place in Independence to get hot donuts during the day

My general overall impression was this is not the most loved of all Krispy Kreme locations. Seems like the general crowd was a bit rough and they were out of most everything. Went and had coffee with a few family members while«breaking» from some marathon shopping. It wasn’t very good coffee and the general atmosphere wasn’t very comfortable. I dunno if I’d ever venture back to this particular location.

Should be 5 stars, except that this location does not carry the glazed-crème-filled donut … which almost every other KK does. I’m a huge Krispy Kreme fan.(The huge-ness is certainly directly correlated to the fan status.) Sadly, this institution is an example of an excellent idea, screwed up by clumsy business shi-sters — and a great product becomes much harder to find.(Don’t get me wrong. I’m all about Adam Smith’s ‘invisible hand’ … even if a bit sticky from that glaze … and efficiency of capitalist society. It’s just unfortunate that a good business suffered from bad business people.) Back in the day(it was a Thursday), we lived in Palo Alto, and KK opened a franchise across the Bay in Newark, CA. We religiously made the drive across the Dumbarton to sit in line to score a box(or a few) of these tasty treats. It was an even more beautiful thing when they opened a store just down the road in Mountain View. Woo-whoo! Flash forward a bunch of years, and now I’m back in St Louis, and there are THREE locations to be shared across this teeming metropolis. Three. And none are closer than 40 minutes of(legal) driving from my house. So, what does this meandering tale have to do with the(center of the universe) at I-70 and Noland Road?! Now, on my trips to KC, every several weeks or so, this location has become the most convenient KK for me, at which to give patronage. Sadly, I trade the ‘hot’ and the glazed-kreme-filled, for simply getting any kind of KK donut, at all.(There’s probably a 12 step program that I need to consider … like moving to a house on Noland Rd … 12 steps away from KK.) So, no glazed-kreme-filled, and the service here is slow-ish. I prefer the service at the one in Florissant. But, sadly, I’m rarely in that neck of the woods, and less interested in moving within 12 steps of that location.

Aahh… the pumpkin spice doughnut of the month is so good. It whispers autumn to me. This location is always fresh. Go when the«Hot Doughnut Now» sign is up, and they give you a warmed glazed doughnut. There’s times I’ve been here, where the manager is just starting his shift and runs around his employees, :“C’mon everyone, look alive this morning, you all look so asleep.” Much cheaper to purchase a dozen, than just one or two. They don’t have anything cool like apple fritters, but their selection is pretty good. I love watching them make the doughnuts, when walking to the counter around the corner. The place is always clean, and the bathrooms are fresh. I used to order the frozen original glazed flavored smoothie, but it’s no longer available: Note to Krispy Kreme: Please bring it back.

I love Krispy Kreme’s new promotion for fall. Their apple flavored doughnuts are delicious! Their new Jolly Rancher slushies are cool, tangy, and superb. As you walk in the door, you immediately come face-to-face with a conveyor belt of doughnuts! I love watching the doughnuts being made. Coffee is weak but the service has always been decent.

I love Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. Almost everyone has stopped by at least once so I’ll make it quick. Almost all locations are the same. And when the sign is on in the window you get a complimentary glazed fresh out of the fryer. I’ve not had stale food here. specialty doughnuts can get a bit pricey, but their light, sweet, and a touch crispy –not chewy and heavy like so many other places. They even have a nice window to watch them being made. The only thing that annoys me is the lax, apathetic, staff. They look like crap. Most of them are gang-banger wannabes sagging in the pants with their shirts untucked and their hats on crooked. Come on, how about enforcing the dress code. This is a business not a high school hallway. The manager walks by indifferent to the slobs. They look sloven and unkept. They seem annoyed that you came in to order a doughnut. FIXIT Krispy Kreme!
