Our mission is to form students, through our specialized training, at various levels of classical dance, contemporary dance, latin rhythms, hip hop, yoga and zumba, in the interest of art, health and culture.

History

Established in 2014.

Jete Dance Academy is a dream come true. The dream was created with the purpose of forming dancers, choreographers and teachers in all levels and ages through teaching the art of body expression with a professional team composed of teachers highly trained in their field.

Meet the Business Owner

Maria S.

Business Owner

Born in Havana Cuba on November 26, 1976. Graduated from the Cuban School of Gaviota varieties in the year 1997 in the disciplines of Ballet, Contemporary dance, Latin Rhythms and Cuban Folcklore. Worked in international shows from 1995 to 1999 in countries such as Venezuela, Aruba and Mexico. From 1999 to 2005 is dedicated to give private dance lessons, primarily Latin Rhythms and contemporary dance focused on physical conditioning. From 2005 to 2009 in the city of Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, was teaching Latin Rhythms, introduction to Dance, plus as a choreographer with the musical group Teatral Camafeo, in shows like Prohibido Suicidarse En Primavera, El Mago de Oz, Pasión Por La Vida, among others. From 2010 to 2012 she was Master of the Company Danzarte Academy in San Diego, CA in the discipline of Initiation Ballet and body expression in musical theater.
