This gym has everything you need to get in shape. The weights are a bit dirty, but are definitely sturdy. The gym rarely gets packed, I know this since I’m a avid goer here for the past 3 years. Crowd of people are nice. Only thing I don’t like is that I feel that they close a bit too early on weekends.

Nobody will acknowledge you as you walk in. The girl that is typically there is just chatting with the boys, no good customer service :/​machines are also pretty old. As you check out you need to grab your own membership card but don’t u lose it cuz it’s a 10 dlls fee for a replacement.

Pretty bad. They’ll sign you up quick and then make it impossible to cancel, even after paying as agreed for a year. Old equipment and dirty old men that stare at women working out. CAREFULLY check out cancellation policies before signing up; this place is not a good deal at all. After signing up, I was activated from the reserve and got deployed to Iraq. I had signed up at the IB location for a one year contract, but left before I actually ever set foot in the gym.
But here’s the rub: I paid, as agreed, for 1 year, deducted from my account. I got back from Iraq, and after my one year contract was up, I both called AND sent a letter requesting cancellation. But they kept taking money from my account. So I cancelled the card, and let bygones be bygones, right? Let them keep the extra couple of months, right? I mean, I paid 14 months of dues for a gym I NEVER SET FOOT IN. WRONG! This shady location started sending me threatening letters, threatening to ruin my credit and take me to court. Seriously… For having cut off my card! It took two letters to the BBB and my threatening legal action for them to finally close my account.
Really bad, REALLY bad. Beware, my fellow veterans and current active duty– Not a good spot, and one that has no respect for our men and women in uniform.

I used to like this no-​frills gym. The price and location are good and the members are friendly. I am downgrading my review to two stars because the place is in utter disrepair and has been that way for the past year. The treadmills and stair steppers have problems and the they go unfixed. The ownership seems to have lost its pride in the club.

IF I COULD GIVE NO STARS I WOULD!!! My husband is a service member who signed up at this gym May 2015. He has orders that are going out of state to a different command. Going into the gym to cancel his membership in October 2015 we were told that is is going to be a $ 100 to cancel even though he brought in his official orders. Under the Federal Law, 50 U.S.C. App Section 535 known as the Servicemember Civil Relief Act (SCRA) if you have orders it doesn’t matter if you have a military clause in the gym contract, you are protected under the act to terminate contract without penalty. Even though this was told to the customer service department who handles the cancelations, they still said that it is a fee to cancel. They then had the gym fax his orders over and insecure fax line. When it states in his order, «This message has been sent in a secure environment. However, if it must be forwarded via email to person (s) with a need to know, you must ensure proper safeguards are taken to protect the contents since it may contain sensitive PII. You must encrypt and digitally sign all emails that contain sensitive PII. If the email fails to send because of encryption issues, do not sen unencrypted as that action constitutes a PII breach and must be reported.» Given this PII breach they still «needed» his orders to be faxed in order to cancel. They then told him that we will knock off $ 20, but you still have to pay $ 80. I called to talk to the OWNER of the business, Paul. He was not in apparently, but I decided to drive up which took a total of 2 mins later after I called and he was magically there. He told me that if you had a car loan you just don’t get out of it because of orders. (A car loan and a gym that you can no longer go to because you are in a different state are two different things.) He then proceeded to tell me that he knew nothing of the law and the illegal activity and that he doesn’t handle that, that his customer service department does. If you customer service department does, then they should be fully aware of the FEDERAL law that was violated and the breach of PII. If it was my business that I truly didn’t know that this was happening I would be furious that my business is conducting illegal activity without my knowledge and that I would refund the service member the money that was taken out no questions asked, however that is not the case. He said he would look into, but didn’t take my name or information down, I had to ask him if he wanted it. I gave him two business days to refund the money or legal action is going to be taken through Navy Legal, BBB, and NCIS for breach of PII that they are conducting. We also had to cancel our debt card to make sure they don’t still change us after canceling because that seems to be a common complaint on here as well. You can call your bank and usually have them stop payments, but fitness world goes in each month and hand changes everyone so that you can not call your bank and have them stop the payments, they only way to truly stop the payments is if you get a new card after cancelation. Beware of this gym, my husband loved the gym, but the business side of it is terrible and highly illegal all they are consider with is MONEY!!!

I joined Unilocal just to tell you guys about what a dump this place is. I moved across the street and thought «how convenient». WRONG. Went there with a friend and was prompted to talk to the owner in a wierd little room on a phone. He pressured me into getting a membership «within 48hrs or the promotion would expire»
They mentioned bringing a guest for free (i assumed it was like Chuze Fitness where ur guest works out for free no questions asked) not the case, they have to fill out paperwork and get pressured into joining.
It was my mistake to not take a tour cause the equipment is as old as the owner. I read my contract and the terms seemed too complicated to bother. So i bit the bullet and payed 15 bucks a month for a whole year and never went. My debit card (that i had on file with them) had been cancelled after some fraudulent charges (not related to Fitness World) so I got charged a 35 dollar fee for the $ 15 monthly fee that hadnt gone through. Then when I went in to cancel cause the year was FINALLY up, the owner was there. I told him I joined Chuze and he ranted for like 30 minutes and basically said it wasnt working cause according to him I wasnt in shape. Out of spite he charged me an extra month. Cant imagine how a place like this is still open, run down equipment, owner is a joke and should stay out of the gym cause he has no customer service skills and the front desk girls seemed very uncomfortable with him around.

I got a membership here after I came home from deployment in July 2014 just because I wanted to try something new and ever since then the customer srvice has been horrible. The girls at the front desk dont EVER seem like they want to be there. I promise just try a 24hr fitness (my old pass) or la fitness or something and youll see what I mean. The owner is a douche bag too, when I first joined he had no time to talk to me and acted as such. I got a pass anyways just because I felt like it. But a final review after a year (July 2015) is that it is still the same. If you can ignore the customer service and the dudes who think they own the place cause they lift there and the unpleasent staff then the equipment isnt too bad, some machines stink but hey whateve, not for me anymore at all though

Horrible gym. Horrible customer service. When ending my membership I paid all remaining balances (or so I thought). 2 months later I receive a letter saying they are going to send me over to collections for past due fees. I go in to talk to someone and they say there are no fees showing on the computer. They contact member services, they say I own for one month and the most they could do was waive my late fees and leaving me to have to pay for something that I was told that I had already paid for. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

VERY BAD !! I was on vacation and tried to take a month or register and they always rejected me because they asked me about my passport and also if you were a nonresident could not give me more information even, the third and last time they was told me that if I had $ 120 could enroll a month, I seems absurd and discriminatory go there, terrible!

Estuve de vacaciones e intenté tomar un mes o inscribirme y siempre me rechazaban porque me pedian mi pasaporte y ademas si no era residente no podían darme mayor informacion siquiera, la tercera y ultima vez que intenté me dijeron que si tenia 120 $ podía inscribirme un mes, me parece absurdo y discriminatorio ir a ese lugar, terrible!

My advice: Run as fast as you can from this gym. I moved out of the state in February of 2014 and they are still calling me about issues. That’s 8 months ago. Furthermore, to cancel my «membership» I have to MAIL A NOTARIZED LETTER to the company. and I have to pay a $ 10 fee to them because I don’t have my gym card anymore. really? Do yourself a favor and don’t have anything to do with this place.

Worst customer service EVER my wife had a membership with them and luckily it ended the same month she was deploying in the Navy we had to go back 3 times to try and cancel it and come to find out after she was gone and they said it was canceled they were still charging her I was furious she’s gone defending this country and they are ripping Her off its completely ridiculous I would never recommend this to even my worst enemy do not give them your hard earned money plus the gym itself is sub par!

There’s better gyms in the area to put your money into. Not totally in love with this place. Looking forward to switching out.

I love the layout and selection of weights. My problem is with customer service. My girlfriend and I had memberships and she moved out of town short notice. When I contacted the corporate office about canceling her membership, they said she has to send in a «certified» letter requesting her cancelation as per her contract not accepting verbal cancellation. Easy enough, we sent the letter certified. When it arrived they said they will not accept it because it hasn’t been notarized. Then, tried to say they told me it must be notarized. complete bullshit. So I contacted the corporate office and after haggling i was finally able to cancel the memberships. The organization and customer service is subpar and the staff is unaware of the policies and inconsiderate. The owner is a complete PERVERT, my girlfriends would always complain that the owner was staring at her chest and judging her by the way she completes her workouts. Fortunately for him, i haven’t had the pleasure of meeting with him yet.

It’s never crowded here and you can focus on your workout easily. Some of the equipment is a little outdated but it’s pretty easy to improvise.

Worst customer service I’ve experienced, it was just terrible. You don’t treat prospective customer like this. Also the manager policies, that gives you 24 hours to decide to sign up, if you don’t there’s a 50 dollar fee increase. Really? That’s how you want to get customers? I would give zero stars if I could.

The gym has a variety of machines and there’s plenty of them so you don’t have to wait a while to use them. There’s also cables, free weights, barbells, Smith machines, squat racks and plenty of cardio machines. Another positive is that there’s always parking space, but the lot is pretty small so be careful since there are a few big trucks there.
But! Most of the machines are old and smell of BO, and some have rust on them. The cleaning lady only vacuums the padded floor (I don’t even know why they vacuum?), not even disinfect or wipe the machines! There’s barely any fresh air circulation, making germs grow in the gym. The bathrooms use cheap toilet paper and they use a hand dryer instead of paper towels, which we all know heat causes germs to grow = germs that make you sick!
Another annoying thing is that some of the users don’t put their weights back, and there is no staff to check and de-​rack everything, unlike other gyms. Even their own staff who worked out didn’t re-​rack their own weights! Also, membership card is cheaply made, just a piece of laminated paper that easily starts to peel after a few months usage, and they charge you if you forget your membership card!
The only reason I’d keep going to this gym despite all the negative traits would be because there’s plenty of machines to choose from, despite the fact they are really old (hard to adjust settings) and smell, as well as the fact that the gym is only $ 10 a month, but you get what you pay for!
Definitely looking for a new gym!
ALSO, this place has THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! It’s surprising as they depend on their customers for their income.

Be careful of signing up this freaking nasty dirty stinky old gym I cancelled mine few months ago and they still fucking send me billing what a fucking ripped off !!! I disputed it and they’re so stupid and retarded stuff works there !!! Don’t you ever thinking of signing up! They trick you of their promotions bullshit! Excuse my language but I was so upset and bad customer service was all I got !!!

OMG this gym just bumped to 5 stars I go from 730– 845 give or take a few min here and there but I love it! It’s like cheers for those who remember the show lol

The only thing «fit» about this gym is that it is fit to be called a cesspool. I say this for two main reasons: the place is gross and the guy who owns the gym is a perverted idiot.
First of all, I am big into fitness and especially strength training. I am not looking for a fancy gym, but just a place with a good selection of free weights run by nice friendly people.
At first I thought i was getting this. A woman in her 30s with long dark hair and big boobies offered amazing customer service. She was able to answer all my questions and was very friendly. So far so good.
Then I went to work out, and was disappointed with the quality and selection (or lack of) of the equipment. The membership here is cheap, but I would much rather pay more and go to 24 hour Fitness.
So here is where I got really offended. I overheard some guy yelling at another women who worked there (not the one with the big hooters). First of all, the way he was treating this poor girl was disgusting. Turned out he was the gym’s owner. AND you don’t «discipline» employees in front of customers. I then went to do some cardio, and when i finished I heard him talking about sexual things and it really disgusted me. I feel bad for the women who work for this revolting pervert.
Trust me, this is NOT a good gym to belong to. The owner has the morals of a rapist, the equipment is old and sticks, and the selection is poor. I hope this guy goes out of business.
