Canada may have the Maple Leaf and Vermont might advertise their Maple syrup to the masses but they’ve got nothing on Michigan-made Maple syrup. I love Michigan Maple syrup and I refuse to ingest anything that isn’t real Maple syrup. That’s why I’m so happy to see Nelson Maple Products at the Royal Oak farmers market every Saturday. They’ve got golden clear A grade in fancy bottles perfect for a gift to that Vermonter that can’t believe anyone else makes Maple syrup or as I found out to my Australian friends so can’t even buy Maple syrup in their stores. I had to buy them some. But for me I purchase the B grade. I Love B grade syrup. It’s a bit darker and fuller of flavor and you really can’t see through it and it’s oh so yummy. Not everyone sells B grade but Nelson does! They also get to me to spend some cash when I see those bags of Maple sugar candy sitting on the table. Can’t pass them by. I should also note that their website is really good too. Nice job. Here you can select that just right bottle of golden goodness, find out when the next Sugar Shack tour is going to be and view some nice photos of the whole syrup making process.
