Ok, I think this is the ice cream shop we went to Saturday night. Looking at the pictures, and reviews, it looks like this place might have changed owners in the past. I couldn’t find the name of the store on the outside. There’s a giant sign that says Ice Cream for this place. I ordered a shaved ice from this place and it turned out delicious in the end. A little mishap in the beginning. I ordered it Hawaiian style, with ice cream on the bottom, shaved ice with strawberry and watermelon flavors, and condensed milk on top. When they handed me to masterpiece, I took a bite and was so excited for shaved ice! But the condensed milk was bad, spoiled. I brought it back to the counter and they apologized and fixed me up a brand new one! The new one was yummy and we licked the bowl clean. Service was friendly enough, cute outdoor seating!

Owner is a jerk — I’ll never eat here again. After spending nearly $ 100 here on ice cream(etc) for my kids and a group of their friends, the owner decided to park his bright red Lexus within INCHES of the kids legs as they sat on a wall. Seriously, eight kids between 5 and 12yrs old, lined up on the wall, eating HIS ice cream, and he parks within inches of their legs. To make it worse, he backed up and parked a few inches closer because he wasn’t close enough the first time. He had nearly *five FEET* on the other side of his car. I don’t recall ever seeing such blatant disregard for other people in my life. He didn’t even acknowledge us and our complaints/protest for the safety of our kids when he exited his car. He did, however, move a sign closer to his car to keep people from getting too close to it. Apparently a nice cherry red paint job is more important than 8 pairs of his customers’ legs. I’ve shared this with my friends on Facebook and Twitter as well.

Nice owner and great selection of ice cream, gelatin and beef jerky. It’s a very very tiny narrow place I wish it was bigger.

mmmmmmmm! Bananas on a stick dipped in hot chocolate and rolled in Butterfingers, the creamiest richest cocoa you will ever drink, and delicious sorbets and gelatos! The woman who waited on us was clearly an experience mother and grandmother and did right by the littles. We were all dizzy and contented like the kids on the train in Polar Express after their hot cocoa! I love supporting small businesses and will definitely be back here every time I return to Idyllwild!

Excellent assortment of flavors, all in the form of gelato. We waited as the couple in front of us tried 10+ flavors with the ever patient owner. I ordered the pumpkin in a sugar cone, it was incredible. The owners definitely use real ingredients and choose their top-notch recipes. My girlfriend ordered the raspberry cabernet in a waffle cone, just as delicious and memorable. If you’re driving through, this place is a must stop!

I was just here last year and here again today and apparently, they have a different owner now so it’s all gelato and soft served(with random hot dogs, chips, candy etc). Anyway, I got the strawberry cheesecake, butter pecan, and pistachio and they were outstanding! I tried pumpkin and it was as expected– amazing but I couldn’t get all 4 in one huge waffle come hahahha! Small little place with lovely treats. Hope this place stays and makes it over the years as most businesses barely survive for long here!

We went to Idyllwild today to go to the Lemon Lily Festival and specifically to this ice cream store. ITHASCHANGEDNAMESANDOWNERS. I asked them and it’s a completely different menu and no frozen yogurt. I forget the name of the new place. We shared a THICK chocolate shake with oreo cookies stirred in. It was really good.

We spent the morning hiking in 90 degree heat and were in serious need of a cool down. We wandered into cookie-doe’s and ordered a cookies n cream shake. The shake was perfectly blended, thick(but still drinkable through a straw), and had a skim of hot fudge around the edge of the cup. Normally my hubby has a few sips of my shake then passes it off for me to finish, but the shake was so good we both couldn’t get enough!
