I took my son’s 94 Nissan in for service and loud engine noises. I also expected to buy a new muffler. I received a call from Josh…$ 59.00! He said that there was a receipt in the car for another muffler shop for a free replacement warranty, the loud noise was due to a spark cable coming loose, and there was a small crack in the oil pan but it could wait. I was fully expecting to pay a lot more. They were honest and I have recommended them to everyone I know.

Top marks for Josh and the guys at Oswald. They kept me informed, kept to their quote, and better still, fixed a few other «soon to be problems» they noticed along the way to fixing the problem I came in with. And surprisingly, they charged me almost nothing for the additional repairs, beyond the original quote. Also got me in & out in one biz day, saving me a hotel room and a lot of hassle. (We live in our van)

My wife and two kids recently returned from a road trip up to Idaho & Montana. As we were heading north on I-​15, about 20 miles south of Idaho Falls, our battery indicator light started flashing. We live in California, so we had no idea who to take the car to get it fixed. What a vulnerable feeling! Oswald Service and Repair appeared reputable based on the Unilocal reviews we pulled up on our phone.
When we called at about 4pm, Josh, the General Manager, explained that they were booked solidly until the end of the day, but that he would make time to take a look at the severity of our problem. True to his word, he and and one of the mechanics came out to our car, tested the battery and alternator, and found that they were both reading at healthy levels. They did not charge us AT ALL, and wished us good luck on our trip! We made it to our destination and back home without incident. It turns out that the alternator’s indicator was faulty and was replaced under warranty back in California.
It is so nice to know that there are still good, honest repair shops out there. Thank you, Josh, for the ethical, friendly service you provided that day!

Very friendly service. Popped in there today whilst on a road trip. The guy working there couldn’t have been more helpful, understood my brake concern, came out to my car to do a free inspection and put my mind at rest that there was no immediate safety concern. Didn’t try to sell me any work. Would definitely recommend them and go there again.

I’m out of town (near Jackson) and My Honda Odyssey AC broke down just before the 4^th of July. I call the nearest Honda dealership (it’s in Idaho falls, btw) and they’re down a man. Kindly, they refer me to Oswalds. «Ask for Josh. He’ll treat you right.» I call Josh and he fits me in that day. You never know what to expect when you have to try a new place to fix your car. I was pleasantly surprised. No funny business, no add-​on «emergency» fixes — just straight up honest, hard working, friendly repair shop. They fixed my AC that day. They also drove me to the mall and picked me up while they worked on it. If I lived in Idaho Falls I’d def take my car there for everything — oil change, new brakes, you name it. Thanks for your help!
