We provide behavioral therapy (ABA/​VB) and educational consulting for families and schools. At BDS, we are passionate about helping people, and we work with you to develop treatment plans to meet the individual needs of your child and family. The services that we offer can be provided in the home or community and our programs are designed to increase learning as well as each client’s future independence.

At BDS we are dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of people through applied behavior analysis (ABA). We believe that all persons can be assisted towards gaining greater independence and confidence. BDS staff members are available to provide training to parents, paraprofessionals, teachers, and other groups regarding intellectual or developmental disabilities, challenging behaviors, life skills, social skills, play skills, and educational planning.

History

Established in 2007.

The concept for BDS was born in 2001 when our founder discovered a need for quality home and community based services in some of the underserved areas of Maryland.

From the outset, our goal has been to help each client reach his or her greatest level of independence. Since that time, BDS has grown and continued to make a difference throughout our area. Our caring staff believes that every person can learn and reach their greatest potential.

Barbara E.

Business Owner

Barbara has worked with people with differing needs for over 20 years and truly enjoys going to work each day. She feels that her clients force her to think outside of the box and teach her as much as she teaches them. She has experience performing assessments, supervising programs, writing and teaching learning programs as well as facilitating social groups, parent groups, workshops, and seminars. She also enjoys working with other organizations to train their staff.
