History

Established in 2011.

Working at an Apple Service Provider customers came in everyday with broken iPhone and iPad screens. Apple doesn’t allow ASPs to service IOS devices so we would direct them to a mail away service. The need for a qualified technician that could repair devices locally on Cape Cod was apparent. 3 Months later Chris started the business out of his home and shortly opened a full service repair shop on Main Street Hyannis. Chris’ reputation spread quickly and soon received referrals from Verizon and AT&T stores as well a local Mac stores. MDM is the preferred vendor of Cape Cod Hospital, Barnstable, Nauset, Upper Cape Tech and Hingham Public Schools.

Awesome experience. Repaired my iPhone 5 cracked screen fast, friendly and professionally. Took about 20 minutes. The phone screen works perfectly. Plan to tell all of my friends in need of screen repairs on their phones and pads. Previous Unilocal reviews were right on target as to the quality for a great price.

I have brought 2 devices to Chris over the last month. My son’s ipad air and iPhone 5. He spent several weeks working on my son’s ipad air (which ended up unable to be repaired) and for all the hrs spent did not charge us a cent. Additionally, he repaired my son’s iPhone while extremely busy within a few hrs and only charged $ 20. He is proficient, and friendly and I would recommend his services to everyone, DO NOT GO TO THE MALL!

After reading other Unilocal reviews, I decided to stop in with my iPhone 5 that had started acting crazy. Chris was in and busy working on multiple devices. I was told my new screen would be on in less than an hour. It was. You pay when you pick up… and after you test the phone in a variety of ways to make sure the LCD is working properly.
I noticed a small crack on the bottom of the new screen. Chris seemed surprised and disappointed. The work had been done by a young guy working with him. He immediately offered several solutions. He would discount the replacement screen if it was acceptable to me… Or replace it and have it ready in 20 minutes. I chose the replaced screen with no crack. $ 90 was the cost. I’ve replaced a screen previously on my own for about $ 40, but having it done right and quickly made it all worthwhile for me.
I hope to not need a return visit, but I would not hesitate to go back and would recommend to others.

I cracked my iPhone and was wondering where to go since there is no Apple Store on the cape. Found this place online and couldn’t be happier. It was less than an hour and it was the price he said. Definitely was skeptical at first since I’ve never heard of this store and was nervous what would happen to my phone, but now I’ll be sure to tell everyone on the cape to go here!

Busted up the glass on my iPhone. Went into full panic. Sprint store… Useless… Macexpress… $ 269 (are you kidding???) Google search Mobile Device Medics. A quick phone call the owner (sadly did not get his name) says he has to be somewhere but will fit me in if I can hurry down. Well I rush over. Show up 10 – 15 minutes later than I said I would. Apologetically I run through the door. No problem he says. Takes my phone whips out the replacement in record time (and perfectly I might add) for a fair price. Super nice guy, more accommodating than I could ever hope for… I am a customer for life. If you need screen replacement do yourself a favor and use Mobile Device Medics!!!

Broken glass on Samsung Galaxy SIII. Fixed in 1 hour. Top notch work, fair price, personable guy (Chris). I would absolutely use him again (but not too often, I hope). Explained everything to make sure I understood the worst case scenario, and then made the best case scenario come true.

When asked a simple question about the repair the proprietor raised his voice and said, «You can just pick it up in the morning!» I almost left before he said $ 65 but left the phone with this overwhelmed incompetent moron. That night he called and said its fixed, $ 65 again. Got there and he wanted $ 100. SHADY! Cracked my screen during his incompetence, said nothing about that. No confidence in this SCAMMER, calling BBB

They fixed my destroyed iPhone 5c and it looks brand new! The home button was being held on with tape! He had about 3 or 4 phones in front of mine and it was done within an hour & a half for $ 120. Better than I could’ve done myself, quick, convenient and well priced!

UPDATE: I was very impressed to learn that in replacing the LCD, not only did Chris remove the digitizer intact, but reinstalled it with so much as a scratch after replacing the LCD. That is no simple task.

This is some of the best customer service I’ve ever received. The first time I had to get my iPhone 5 screen fixed, Chris hadn’t even finished setting up shop on Main Street in Hyannis. I live on one of the islands and it was a Sunday — I was on my way back from a weekend away when my screen shattered. I googled the closest Apple repair place and his number came up. I called and he set up an appointment to see me even though it was his day off and he and his family were busy painting and putting the store together. He replaced my screen in about twenty minutes and it was perfect… until I shattered it AGAIN around the New Year. Once more, I only had time on a Sunday on my way back to the island… and although the store was up and running the hours were listed as closed. I tried my luck anyway and yet again Chris was more than happy to set up an appointment at the shop. This time my phone was fixed in ten minutes and the charge was $ 25 less than the previous visit. Not sure if he lowered his prices or was just being nice to a returning customer, but either way I’m more than happy to have this place to go to for all my iPhone needs.
