Specialties

Orthopaedic and Sports Physical Therapy clinic treating all post surgical cases, shoulders, knees, spine, lower extremity injuries. We have special interest in shouders, knees, running injuries, overhead athletes, and pediatric sport injuries.

History

Established in 2005.

Function First Physical Therapy is a privately owned outpatient clinic founded by James Hawley, PT, Cert. MDT on January 31, 2005. We started as a small clinic with two rooms in a local fitness center. We quadrupled our size during the next 4 years as our reputation grew as a première facility serving the Cape Cod community. On January 6, 2009, we moved to our current location on Main Street Hyannis. The 3100 sq ft modern facility offers private treatment rooms for confidentiality and privacy for treatment, ample space for treatment of functional exercises, and an open 1000 sq ft turf room to practice sport drills. We are located adjacent to Fitness 500 and have complete access to their facility to further advance treatment for cardiovascular status and weight training. Discounted gym rates are available to all patients.
