Established in 2009.
Now in our second year, the Black Whale Gallery is the newest and hottest art attraction in Hyannis, MA. For the past two years, our commitment to authentic, locally made art has invigorated the art scene on Main Street, Hyannis. For thirty years, the owner Nancy Lyon, has been creating beautiful scrimshaw, etchings, and watercolors. At the Gallery, Nancy has assembled a collection of unique artwork by local Cape Cod artisans along with a line of antique ivory carvings.

Business Owner
Since graduating from Southeastern Massachusetts University in 1987 with a dual major BFA and a masters in Art Education, Nancy Lyon has been pursuing her art interests. After being employed as an art teacher for a total of fourteen years at Truro Central School, Veterans Memorial Elementary School, and Provincetown ELementary, Nancy decided to focus on her own art career. In 2009, she opened the Black Whale Gallery, and the rest is history.
