Specialties
Thermal imaging using infrared cameras to find air leaks, insulation problems, moisture and water leaks, electrical problems, roof leaks, and structural problems in both residential and commercial buildings. We can even show you how well your saddle fits your horse!
History
Established in 2011.
Thermal Imaging Systems was started with two FLIR thermal imagers in June of 2010 and has since progressed to membership in United Infrared, the country’s largest thermographer network, with two offices in Leadville, Colorado and Albany, New York. Our thermographers are Level II Certified by the Infraspection Institute, as well as BPI Building Analyst and Envelope Certified. We are trained and certified in all of the United Infrared protocols: EnergyScanIR, MoistureFindIR, ElectricIR, RoofScanIR, BlockwallScanIR and EquineIR. We use FLIR infrared cameras, Extech and Tramex moisture meters and Retrotec blower doors to ensure consistent, high quality results whatever the application.
Meet the Business Owner
Todd H.
Business Owner
Having been in the concert and event production industry for 21 years, Todd read an article in the summer of 2010 about the use of thermal cameras to detect air leaks and missing insulation and decided that it was time to do something that might effect greater change in the world. As an acoustic consultant that had worked on many noise abatement projects in Colorado mountain towns over the years, he also saw great potential in infrared technology for being able to show people visually where they were losing money on their utilities. After getting his Level I Thermographer certification and joining United Infrared in 2011, Todd learned that there are many diverse applications for infrared including finding water leaks and damage and helping to diagnose medical issues in horses. Todd now has his BPI Building Analyst and envelope, as well as his Level II certification and is interested in the application of infrared to acoustic consolation as well.
