Meet the Business Owner
Kathy E.
Business Owner
Kathy Ellerbeck has spent the entirety of her life both on horses and in barns. Mucking stalls and training horses she has earned an encyclopedic knowledge of the equestrian arts only won by doing. Out of high-school she attained Bachelor’s degrees in Science and Art for Equine Science and Fine Art from, William Woods University. Kathy has learned from some of America’s top equestrians such as: Linda McClarin, Gayle Lampe, Allan Nix and Johanna Gwen.
Unlike most instructors, Kathy’s approach his highly organic and intuitive. Her lessons instill in the students an understanding of the horse that they may learn by feel and motion rather than by simple instruction. The student learns to communicate with the horse rather than command it, this communication then encourages the horse’s respect of the rider. Force encourages resistance, which is not our goal.
