History

Established in 1936.

1936 — Began in McPherson, KS when P. H. Willems opened an accounting practice located in the Grand Building on the northwest corner of Kansas and Main Street.

1960 — The firm moved to 901 N. Main Street.

1978 — B. Carver Swindoll was admitted as a partner.

1987 — Keith S. Janzen was admitted as a partner.

1990 — Kyle J. Hawk and D. Scot Loyd were admitted as partners.

1990 — The firm moved to its present location at 123 S. Main, after renovating the historic downtown building.

1996 — The partnership changed the entity to a limited liability corporation; therefore, changing the name to Swindoll, Janzen, Hawk & Loyd, LLC.

2008 — Voted «Best Firms To Work For» by Accounting Today

2009 — Voted «Best Firms To Work For» by Accounting Today

2010 — Voted «Best Firms To Work For» by Accounting Today

2011 — Chet Buchman was admitted as a partner.

2012 — Opened a 2^nd office location in Hutchinson, KS by merging with BSE, LLC. Both firms began operating under SJHL.
