Had a nice stay at the Fairfield in Hutchinson over the weekend. My son had a baseball game at McPherson College in McPherson and being loyal to the brand I decided to stay in Hutchinson about 20 – 25 minutes away. In my opinion the rooms are both comfortable and clean, staff was friendly and their morning breakfasts were generally acceptable. The attendant kept everything well stocked and clean. My only two suggestions were to have offering of tea like you do coffee in the rooms and to offer cold water at breakfast. I will be back at this hotel when I am again back in this area. The hotel is relatively new and very modern. I had a nice stay. Thank you!

It’s a hotel in Hutchinson. So you might not expect a ton. BUT it’s brand new. Rooms are high-ceilinged and have sharp contemporary décor. The breakfast is typical hotel ‘Continental’ breakfast, but with nice healthy options. Their breakfast attendant, a nice blonde lady with a T-name(Tammy? Tonya? Torgo?) was incredibly nice and helpful. Gold star for her. The beds were also comfy and squeak-free. Bathroom had a SUPERHIGH shower head, which was great for a 6’4″ person like me. Major demerits, though, for the ONEHUNDREDANDFIFTYDOLLARNON-REFUNDABLEPETDEPOSIT. Even cut in half, it’s highway robbery and wildly out of step with local competition. I don’t know if the money is funding coke parties for the staff or what, but sober up, Fairfield Inn. It’s way too much.

A very new and ultra modern business traveler/urban hotel. Friday night walk in rate of $ 119 made it even better. Staff was welcoming and breakfast area was similarly nice and well staffed though nothing too special. Downside: Dog rate of $ 75 was steep.

The Best Staff period. Hotel is new, very clean. The breakfast is a nice bonus. This is the ONLY place to stay in Hutchinson Kansas! Tori and Chantille were the Best! House Keeping cleaned the room to perfection. I will stay here each time I travel to Hutchinson.

This place is so nice I don’t even have to rate it based on the Hutch curve. Absolutely stunning facility with bright colors and great facilities. Love the indoor pool and hottub with accessible lifts. There is fresh water in the gym that I like to refill my water bottle. Spacious rooms with high ceilings leaves one feeling very open. I love the clean lines of the design of the room as well. Washer and dryer are located on second floor. Breakfast is ok. Nothing extraordinary. I mean, they have boiled eggs and fruit, waffles, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy and cold cereal options and milk. Really enjoyed my stay.

Wow! I am not a person that is impressed easily at all, but these guys went above and beyond! I have been to Hutchinson numerous times since this hotel opened but for some reason this time it was a little cheaper, also I wanted comfort and didnt care! Asthetically the hotel is very pleasing from the check-in desk to the room, they have a hot tub and swimming pool(indoor) that both have lifts for handicapped individuals, the Breakfast that is included with your room is to die for! Considering we are referring to a hotel breakfast, I have stayed in many hotels here in Hutch and this one beats them all by far, they even had things like breakfast sandwiches, waffels, biscuits and gravy, eggs and sausage patties, muffins, danish, oatmeal with all of the fixins, fresh fruit, superfruit cups, bagels and fresh fruit juice, milk and coffee to drink. I am not a coffee person but understand this is available 24⁄7. The first night I was here I did a little shopping and when I returned the lady at the front dest made sure that I knew they had laundry facilities and laundry soap so I didnt have to purchase any, also if I had forgotten any toiletries they had all of that available down there as well… I could not believe the hospitality but then again Hutch is a small town, very small compared to Denver! The wifi is not restricted so no need to hunt down a login and password just turn on your computer and away you go. Each room has a small refrigerator, coffee maker and a microwave for your convienice as well… I feel like I am forgetting something to tell you but I guess it wasnt important if I can’t remember… oh, the ONLY downfall that I can find and it is strictly a matter of opinion is the fact they are a shower only hotel, or my room was at least. I need a shower in the am but have chronic back pain and rely on baths at night… thank God for the hot tub being open until 11 and the mall across the street having a swimsuit! I will definitely be using my Marriott Rewards again and staying here… I will be back, thank you!

This is a really slick looking, freshly constructed hotel that I absolutely recommend staying at. There were a few drawbacks I mentioned in my post-hotel survey that I want to include here. They’re nowhere near dealbreakers, just want to note them. Let’s start with the good! Like I said, the aesthetics are A+. Really modern and bright colors in the rooms. And the furniture in the room is very nice and comfortable too. The staff is really friendly as well. I really appreciated the woman who checked me in calling up to see if everything was ok in my room. This place also has a pool and a workout room that all seem fresh and new. Definitely go here. Onto the not-so-good. I wasn’t in love withe the complimentary breakfast. It was just not that appetizing, aside from the cereal. I’m not a fan of the fluorescent lighting in the room. It’s nice that’ they’re energy conscious, but it’s not conducive to relaxation. What about the bed side lamp? Can they at least get a yellow colored fluorescent? Next, the parking lot situation is poorly designed. I first pulled into the northern-most lot and parked my car. After 4 hours of driving, all I wanted to do was check in and relax. Instead I found I had to walk through wet grass and over gravel to get to an accessible door. I mentioned in my review to them that signage would help, as would some sort of walkway. Finally, here is my LEAST favorite thing about the stay. The door to my room went all the way to the carpet. On night 2, when staff delivered my bill to my room, I was woken up at 4AM(FOUR A M) to someone trying and trying and trying to wedge it under there and not doing very well. It felt like this went on for minutes. Imagine waking up to hear, «scrape scrape scrape» coming from somewhere in your room. At first it scared the hell out of me, like someone was there in the room with me. I finally had to get up and pull the rest of it through the door on my own. There has got to be an alternative to that form of delivery? Has nobody yet mentioned that this is terrible?
