Moritz Kia Hurst

I can say from personal experience, that when you get your car serviced at this location, and something of yours magically disappears from the car, they aren’t overly concerned. And then after being treated like you’re just a crazy female who «misplaced» her stuff, your calls and emails get ignored.

Buying a car can be a miserable experience. Since prices aren’t fixed, there is this dance between the buyer, the sales rep and wizard — that man in the secret office that actually makes the decisions. My assumption is that they are going to lie to me about how low they can go.
My experience at Moritz was really nothing like that.
My wife and I went in on Friday night to test drive. We liked the Kia Soul, but weren’t sure about the color. We told our sales rep, Gary, that we’d come back the next day. Now I know that the last thing the dealer wants is for me to walk out the door lest I never return. Next we meet the sales manager. Purportedly, he just wanted to meet us. I woulda bet a paycheck that the his first sentence would be «What would it take for you to buy this car tonight?» I was absolutely positive.. . and absolutely wrong. He introduced himself and that was about it. I was shocked.
We actually did come back on Saturday. Gary was busy with another customer, so we were handed off to Omar. (I appreciated that Gary handed us off rather than tell us it would be 15 – 20 minutes and then we’re still looking at each other an hour later.) We looked at the car, did a quick drive around the block and then sat down to talk.
Now, I know how this all works and did all my homework on prices. I knew where we’d have to be to buy from Moritz. The car had two stickers — the real one from the manufacturer and the secondary sticker with dealer added stuff like lifetime nitrogen tire fills. That added about $ 1500 to the price.
The added stuff is pretty much pure profit to the dealer and unnecessary. I told Omar that I wouldn’t pay for it. The first offer was a couple hundred under the manufacturer sticker. I gave Omar a much lower price which, frankly, I expected to be rejected as we did our «price dance». I also said that I expected if they didn’t get to the price, I’d find another dealer that would. Much to my surprise, he came back with an offer.. . at my price. No more haggling.
I’ve bought a dozen cars in my life and they all go about the same way. I’ve come to expect the dance. Not here. I was totally surprised at how well this all went and relatively low pressure. You just don’t see that. I can tell you that next time I’m looking for a car, I’ll start at a Moritz family dealer.

This place is the definition of incompetence and poor customer service. Like all dealerships they are your best friend when they want you to buy a car and then treat you like a leper after. Bought a 2014 Kia Optima with some bs that they were cheaper than Honda and Toyota because they wanted people to give Kia a try. Let me save everyone else the misery of «trying» a Kia, especially this place.
First, had to replace all the tires at 25000mi because they went bald and one formed a bubble on the outer tread. Next whenever the temperature changes the warning for low tire pressure comes on even when the tires are properly inflated. For the trifecta the battery goes dead after 25mo when its only covered for 24mo. No battery places carry the replacement so you have to go to this worthless place to get it changed. They quote $ 150 for the replacement but when I get there they conveniently put the wrong battery in and try to charge me $ 320. AVOID KIA AND MORITZ!!! SHADY! SHADY! SHADY!

I can’t say enough good things about our buying experience here. They were friendly and helpful and we told them what we wanted and could pay and they did it! A trip to the grocery store is more painful than this was. After previous disappointing dealer experiences, this restored our faith. We had previously went to Kia Lewisville where they were selling a 2015 soul for the exact same price as a 2016 (same options exactly) and wouldn’t budge one cent off the 2015. Bye bye Lewisville, on a stormy night with no customers you lost a sale and Moritz got it. I was so happy I brought Moritz Hurst donuts!

Only reason I’d go here instead of Central Kia… location is closer to my home… service…told me my Soul needed a new engine… hmmm…32 000 miles later, it’s still humming along fine… just a noisy idler or a/​c compressor. I demanded a refund of my check-​it-​out diagnostic since their diagnostic was wrong… finally was refunded!

Leased a car today it was a great experience!!! quick and Hassel free!!! Bart is the man to see for leasing and buying a new KIA… !!!IN and out in 3 hours with our new car… we are so happy!!! Thanks Bart!!!

Don’t expect communication from this dealership, let alone professionalism. I bought a slightly used car from them, and they hounded me into a loan and a warranty that I did not want till I was utterly exhausted, and very strapped for time. They gave me the runaround about the warranty until I cancelled through the warranty company– Next week! The finance department wouldn’t respond to my voicemails or emails regarding the warranty. Obviously, this is how Moritz Kia makes their money. Do not let them swindle you into a warranty that you probably will not need.
But, that’s nothing! I purchased black leather seats for my new car. BLACK leather seating was CLEARLY communicated to my salesman, and well documented (except that the salesman misspelled Leather, as Laether). After the leather was installed, the salesman called and said my car was ready, and looked beautiful with the leather, blah blah… with absolutely no mention that he installed TAN leather instead!
I drove an hour to Hurst, having to bring my 66 year old mom along to help me get the car, and, by no surprise, was exhausted and time strapped once again by the finance department, and BLIND-​SIDED by my salesman…
I walked out to the parking lot with my mother, and with the keys to my new car, clicked unlock, and my new car HAS BRIGHT CREAM LEATHER SEATS! NO mention of this to me over 5 days! This is still hard for me to fathom!!! I can’t even tell the story without getting furious.
In all fairness, The manager offered to fix the issue, but I have no time for that! He also cancelled the warranties I did not want but, BUYER BEWARE!
Don’t go to this dealership by yourself as a single woman, or a young person, or someone who may not have the gall to stand your ground, because they will try their best to swindle you for hours!

So I’ve had nothing but good experiences so far… I picked up an Optima yesterday, unfortunately today, i was cursed with a huge dent on the car! It was caused by the dealer during the car wash process and the damages were too much for just a «simple fix.» My salesperson and manager did everything they could to accommodate me and my troubles. I’ll be getting a new car (the exact same model) right off the truck when it arrives. In the meantime, they’ve put me in a demo/​loaner car to drive around.
Besides the damage that was caused, I have no reason to give the customer service nothing other than a 5 star. However due to the inconvenience and damage caused, I would have to drop it to the 4 star that it is now.
Beware: I’m assuming the damage was caused by a faulty sensor in their car wash drive-​thru machine. If the sensor was faulty, then it would cause one of the brush arms to not follow certain dimensions (coming in too close) and cause damage. This is the only reasonable explanation I could come up with. My damage was in the right rear quarter panel along the body line. So, I don’t know if they’ve gotten the sensor fixed yet, or if they have someone looking at it, but beware if you decide to go in for a car wash.
PS: Now, if you’re looking for a new or used car, Moritz WILL take care of you and help you get into the price/​payment ranges you want. Look out for Laurel Hoff, she’s been nothing but helpful to me in my car buying experience.

I had a simple timing belt change done here on my kia spectra 5. The engine has leaked oil from that point on from the area of the timing belt. The drive belts for the accessories have also been noisy ever since as well.

Woke up on a Saturday morning and needed to buy a car. I went to Moritz Kia in Hurst and was introduced to Rusty and Leo. I took a test drive and decided to purchase a Kia Soul. A very cute, affordable vehicle that is fun to drive.
Leo was a great sales representative and made the purchase pleasant and FUN.
Since purchasing the vehicle I have received inquiries to make sure I am satisfied with my choice.

I had a great experience here buying my wife’s first new car. Our sales guy hustled to make sure we got into the exact build we wanted at the price we NEEDED. Very pleased. Go in and ask for Waymon.

I went there to look at buying a Kia Optima EX and was helped by Mike Ford. He was amazing. Very friendly, very knowledgable and made the whole process very easy. I will definitely refer people to him and to moritz Kia of hurst. Make sure to ask for him!!!

Have used their service department several times and the expierence gets worse and worse. Went in becasue I thought I had an electrical problem becasue my battery kept dying. While they kept me there for 3 hours with no interaction, come to find out I have to leave my vehicle there becasue they have to troubleshoot some more.
5 hours later I call and they say «We found, after removing your dash and doing some diagnostics that it is your battery». ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? 6 hours later and its my battery??? You didnt check that first?
They then tell me that it’ll be another hour to get it back together, so I wait. I call before I go becasue I already know how bad they are and I couldn’t anyone to tell me if the car was ready.
Avoid this place like the plague.

Really rude and snotty repair service. Expect multiple visits to correct an issue. Expect to be overcharged for repairs. You have other options to repair your car and I seriously recommend you avoid Moritz Kia.
My wife’s car failed the annual inspection. We decided to take it to Kia because the problem appeared to be electronic. We visited Moritz Kia shop in Hurst because the dealership in Arlington closed. We explained how the car failed an inspection and we needed the engine analyzed and repaired in order to pass inspection. After a couple hours we were told a sensor was bad and needed replacement. The bill was $ 300 parts and labor, and we were told the car would then pass inspection. After the repair was completed, we were told to drive the car at least 50 miles or so to reset the engine computer.
A couple days later, the inspection shop would not reinspect the car because the check-​engine-​light was still on. My wife drove to Central Kia in Irving, and the shop manager checked out the car and recommended we go to Moritz. The cost estimate to repair the underlying problem was about $ 175, considerably lower than Moritz. So back to Moritz Kia we go. The service manager became really defensive when we mentioned the Central Kia estimate, and swore that Moritz hadn’t done anything wrong. The mechanic discovered the sensor was mis-​connected and a connector was bent in the installation. It will now pass inspection, we were told. Again, on our way with instructions to drive the car 50 miles to reset the computer.
Again, the inspection shop would not inspect the car… the check-​engine-​light was still on. Back to Moritz. They acted like they wanted us to go away. After endless tinkering, the check engine light was extinguished. I think the mechanic only detached the wire from the light. I don’t care. The car finally passed inspection.
Never. Ever. Again.
