Forest Ridge Funeral Home was established in 1997 to enable families to experience a new standard of care and understanding at a difficult time. We are committed to providing our community with the best possible service at a reasonable cost.

Meet the Business Owner

Michael L.

Business Owner

Michael is a licensed funeral director and embalmer and has actively been involved in funeral service for 41 years. Michael left his position in management with a major funeral provider after 10 years and co-​founded and operated Forest Ridge Funeral Home in Hurst, Texas with his business partner David B. Medina. He is dedicated to each and every family and ensures that all of their needs are considered and met. Michael also believes in community efforts. He is a member of the Hurst-​Euless-​Bedford Chamber of Commerce and currently serves on their Board of Directors.

Professionally he has served on the Executive Board of the North Texas Funeral Directors Association and served as their President in 2006. Michael went on to serve on the Executive Board of the Texas Funeral Directors Association and served as President of the state association in 2008 – 2009. Michael has served and continues to serve in numerous committees within the Texas Funeral Director’s Association.
