Discount Tire Store – Hurst, TX

They squeezed me in without an appointment. The guy I felt with was quick but made a mistake when inputting my mileage. He added 30,000 miles to my truck. This is problematic because in the age of carfax it may set up some question in a year or so and I sell my cars and the carfax says it had more miles a year ago than now.
Then it looks like the installer did not do such a good job filling the tires. They all had the wrong pressure, 27 in both rears tires and 34 and 35 in the front tires. According to the manufacturer it should be 30 all around. Kind of sloppy but at least the didn’t cross thread any studs like the discount tires in Bedford did and try to blame the previous shop. They were the previous shop.

Let me start off by saying I’m a loyal Discount Tire customer and love the value/​service they provide. Today unfortunately I had a real issue with this location:
— first when I asked to get a quote for the mount and balance of 5 tires they quoted me $ 72, when I show up they had made a mistake and it was now $ 90. While I do think this was an honest mistake, I would have expected them to cut me some sort of break.
— Next, I was told it would be 30−45min…after 45min I asked if I was nearly done because I needed to get back to work. The manager told me they were wrapping up, but one of his guys gave him a look as if he was full of it. So I asked the second guy how far along are they… to which he replied they hadn’t started. Let’s just say I left fuming… I plan to stop by after work and they better be done.
I’m less upset about the delay and more bothered by the willingness to lie straight to my face.

Buyer beware!
My wife came in this store yesterday with a TPM sensor saying low tire pressure. The first guy came back and said her tire was fine and just needed air. Then another guy comes and talks to him, then tells my wife that there was a hole in the tire. And since it’s a run flat, it cannot be repaired, she needed a new tire. Fortunately, she was wise enough to ask them to just add air and she would take it to the dealership for warranty. (Wink-​wink, just getting out the door) .
Now it’s been a day and a half and no tire problems. Seems like someone up there was just trying to take advantage of her.
Trying to scam for a $ 225 tire has lost any future business they would have gotten from us. It’s already hard enough to trust mechanics and the sort, but when you see this kind of stuff happening, it really just makes it worse.

This location takes SOOOO LONG to get anything done! They are so incredibly slow! Slow slow slow!

I have been a customer of Discount Tires for over 15 years in Colorado. This is the first Discount Tire that I have been to since moving to Texas a year ago. I have been to this location three times and I can honestly say that each time has always been a positive experience for me. I’ll admit they are always upfront about the wait time and giving me the option if I want to stay or I can make an appointment and come back, I went yesterday (Memorial Day weekend). I arrived about 8:40 and there were already 11 people ahead of me. My wait time was suppose to be an hour and twenty minutes but he got me out in less than an hour. I was very happy and surprised. Each time I arrive, they will ask me how I like the ride, if my tires ride smooth or if they are too rough. I have a 2002 Toyota 4runner with 250,176 miles and I have used 95k on two tires and 55 k on the other tires. They have great products and I will continue to purchase tires from them. Long live my Toyota 4runner.

I am happy to report that I have just had my 2^nd great experience at this store… I want to especially recognize the manager Kolby, he is AWESOME! I hate shopping for automotive stuff on my own because as a woman I often feel that I am being taken advantage of… Kolby always makes sure that I have all my options explained clearly… Thank you Kolby

This is the worst Discount Tire location in town. The turn around time is easily double what it is at the two closest locations. I keep forgeting how slow they are and every time I am rewarded with a two hour wait. Tires are a sizeable investment. I recommend you go elsewhere.

I’ve visited various Discount Tire locations over the years, but my experience on ⁴⁄₁₂ at this location exceeded my expectations. I was greeted in the parking lot by Adrian who quickly assessed my blown tire and said they would get it in to see if it could be repaired. These are factory tires not purchased at DT. I waited maybe 30 mins and during that time I sat and watched and listened to the guys helping the customers and repeatedly heard «yes mam, yes sir, be right with you, thank you for waiting, etc…» Very polite and great customer service. Unfortunately, my tire wasn’t able to be repaired, but they were able to get me the same tire from another location and have it the next morning, which was a Saturday. Matt assured me it would be there and I would be in and out quickly. I arrived on Saturday and sure enough the tire was there and had already been mounted on the rim I left the night before. They had the tire installed and I was done in about 30 mins! I just can’t say enough about the service and teamwork. I might also mention I inquired about a tire rotation and they did that for free! Also, I researched the internet for comparable pricing and DT was the least expensive of all tire retailers I searched. I would recommend this place without reservation for tires or tire repair. Lastly, I’ll add that personally, I’ve been in the customer service industry for 20+ years and it takes a lot to impress me. I was impressed! Well done guys!

Ive been a customer of Discout tire since i started driving and i usually go to the one in bedford on harwood road. when i went there for a new pair of tires that i had a warranty on one of the workers there treated me very bad and kept being sarcastic with me and wouldnt stop. Then he offered me this so called «deal» for a new pair for $ 200 which was basiclly the price i paid the first time. so i just left bc the deal was too good for me to take. the following day i went to Discount Tire in Hurst off of Pipeline and the staff there was much more helpful. A man name Eddie Hernandez Jr. really helped me out, treated me with respect, and got in and out very promptly. i was there no longer then 40mins. he saved me a lot of money and changed my perspective of the company. that one incident in bedford was the only time i ever had bad service at Discount, maybe the guy was just having a bad day or something. But mainly i just wann thank Eddie at the Hurst location for really helping me out and saving me money.

OMG!!! I came here for a tire rotation and they told me it was an hour and a half wait… okay thats fine since there was a good amount of people in there. I brought a book with me to read while they worked on my car… I started and finished the book three hours later and my car was still in the parking lot… wtf
it only took them 10 mins to rotate my tires… had you done that three hours ago I would have had time to do other stuff. I’m going to Arlington location next time!

I made an online appt for 9:15 am, got there a few minutes early. They repaired a tire with a nail in it, and rotated the tires, all without charging me{i purchased the tires there and have the warranty}.
I was in and out in about half an hour. They apologized for the wait, but i did not think I had waited any longer than needed, and did not expect to have gotten out any sooner.
I have bought tires at this location for years, and although they do not always have the tires in stock that i wanted{as previous reviews noted} they have either matched the price of the other tires, or ordered them and i returned to get the new tires.
I have always had good service at this Discount Tire, and it is a very busy location… and from reading my other reviews, you can tell I am not easy to please!
Would do business here again without hesitation.

Ugggggh! I soo should have looked at Unilocal and NOT listened to my dad.
I waited 3, almost 4 hours to frickin’ get a tire patched??? Seriously?
I mean I should have just went to the ghetto Walmart and I would’ve gotten served better and more efficiently.
They also kept trying to coax me into getting new tires today… even though one man said I would be fine for about another year and knowing my husband was overseas they just though they could take advantage of me and my «fear» for my safety. They kept urging me to buy $ 500 on my small car. –_​–
Once I find out what the future holds I will buy myself some tires, but NOT from this place. Don’t go there… like unless you have blown all 4 tires in their parking lot… and you have no super strength to carry your car to the nearest reasonable tire store… or you know… AAA.
