Al’s Radiator Service

All I can says is «what a refreshing change of pace» when it comes to a repair shop. These guys are AMAZING! Fast, courteous, fair, honest, and very reasonably priced. Let me share with you a bit about what I mean.
I was on my way to work one day and my 2008 Ford F150 began to overheat. I just happened to be near a Firestone repair shop. I pulled in… not wanting to burn up the engine. I asked if I could just fill with water… instead, they suggested that they could do a radiator diagnostic for $ 60. Not wanting to risk more damage… I agreed and had a co-​worker pick me up. Later that day I got a call stating a myriad of things was wrong with my cooling system and would require over $ 700 in repairs (plus the $ 60 for the diagnostic!). I’m always skeptical of repair shops… and I immediately told them to have my truck ready to pick up so I could get a 2^nd opinion. I told them I’d pay for the «diagnostic» and any fluid top-​offs. After a bit of a hard sell… they agreed.
While waiting to pick up my vehicle… I did some searching and came up with Al’s Radiator. Had 5 stars on google… and a 5 star review here too!!! I was more than pleasantly surprised. I called and explained to them the quote I got from Firestone… and was immediately told that I probably didn’t need that much. And that even worst case if I needed a whole new radiator it would be less than $ 300 tax and labor inclusive. I was very pleased to hear that. I dropped off my truck… and bright and early the next morning I got a call stating that I didn’t need a new radiator… and that my old radiator could be fixed and reinstalled for HALF THE PRICE QUOTED. Let me make sure you got that. This place called me… said I don’t need a new radiator… fixed the one I had… and reinstalled (works great by the way) for $ 175!!! (½ their quote, ¼ of the Firestone quote) They told me that this was an issue common to this model of ford truck… and that it had been recalled in the past. Again… these guys are fantastic. I will use this place if I ever need another radiator serviced. I’d trust this place to make recommendations based on honesty and good customer service. Top Notch!
I know this has been a long review… but finding good honest repair services is very uncommon. I want to make sure Al’s gets all the business it can handle. It deserves more than five stars.
