This is a marvelous library, however, it is not the Main library. The Main Library is located in downtown Ogden. This is the«Ogden Valley Library» In Huntsville.

This is my brother’s library. It serves the Ogden Valley where he lives. The hours here put our library hours to shame. It’s even open on Sundays. The building doesn’t look particularly elegant from the outside, but inside it’s spacious and the walls of windows bring in a lot of light and frame the surrounding mountains. There are computers lining the long front wall and there’s always been at least one and usually more available when we’ve been there. The librarians are friendly and helpful and of course they know my brother, who’s there a lot. There’s a community meeting room and as you might expect, it serves as a gathering place for the valley’s residents. Movies are shown and there are book groups and lectures. Art exhibits rotate through and paintings are hung on the walls of the entryway and beyond. There are attractive iron gates which presumably close off the library when it’s closed but leave the community center available. I am unabashedly a library fan and this one is a gem valued and used by its community. I’ve sat at the computer when the weather outside is sunny or snowy and watched people drive up and come in, staying briefly or for a long time and then leaving.
