Bad customer service, Noone around to greet you or ask if you need help. If there was a Lowe’s around they would have to step up their customer service.

Pretty awful service when you send a friend to go in looking for a part that you know they carry as you have bought it from them before and are told they carry no such thing and disregarded her. Then when you attempt to ask another salesperson, you end up getting scolded by a the same sales associate for asking more than one person. Two people in one department managed to let a girl leave in tears after being talked down to and treated like an idiot. How unprofessional! Then find out when you call to complain that the associate who is actually a supervisor has given you the name Mike davis when in fact his real name is Matt on the hardware department. I would be ashamed too after treating a woman in distress looking for a part like an dick. Absolutely ridiculous. Especially when we went right after and obtained the part we were looking for the whole time. Awful customer service and awful knowledge of product in your department especially when you are a supervisor.

My truck is in the shop, and I threw out my back, but I needed lumber for a project, so I thought I would order it online and have a friend pick it up. BIGMISTAKE. The person picking it up had to wait almost two hours while they loaded the order on his trailer, then realized they had accidentally loaded another shopper’s shopping cart of merchandise(who had set it aside to go grab one more thing), then unload it again. That’s bad enough, but when he got to me with my lumber, two items were inexplicably canceled from the order– the invoice actually said«Canceled». Apparently they didn’t have any 2x4x6ft boards or the brand of rigid foam insulation I ordered… so they just removed those from the order. The manager was apologetic about them not being in stock, and blamed the«automatic system» for not telling me items had been canceled, but he never understood what I was really mad about. It doesn’t matter to me that they were out of stock. Inventory problems happen. What upsets me is that they didn’t call me to see if there was a suitable substitute, like a different brand of insulation(which would have been fine) or a 2x4x8ft boards(and I could cut them to size). They ended up giving me what I ordered(I think at a discount) in the end and had it delivered for free three days later, but it was such a pain, and I’m glad I wasn’t in a rush. I still get the feeling they didn’t quite understand what had upset me… which means they don’t understand basic customer service. It is just common sense that you talk to me BEFORE you change my order.

Not the most helpful Home Depot, but they had what I wanted when I went for it, so that was nice. Some things were out of stock(never had that experience at a Home Depot in Houston), but I guess that’s to be expected in a smaller town. Kinda far out and a pain to get to from Huntsville proper, but oh well. I was able to get what I wanted after some poking around for less than I expected, so it’s a win. I’d go back again.

This is one of the smaller and newest Home Depots we have shopped at. Today in Huntsville we found excellent customer service with a sufficient staff unlike at other locations. Ever been in a Home Depot and it was difficult to find any employees at all? Here they are easy to find and what was cool was that a lot of the employees are older and actually know how to help customers in a great manner. Nice selection of plants, very clean store and it was actually fun shopping here due to the helpful staff. Thumbs up!
