Bishops 53 Bar & Grill

Great open and friendly atmosphere.
The ribs and wings were great!!! The menu fits everyone and they have great drink specials. Fridays are great w live entertainment and we enjoy talking to «the regulars» and friendly staff. We had a great martini and cigar, while listening blues and rock and roll.
Will definately go back

Worst bar in Huntsville! Have false advertising through out the store! Signs are only meant for the locals, I was told! No times on specials, repulsive! Never recommend! Worst place yet in Huntsville, only lived here 2 years!

I like chicken wings… I REALLY like chicken wings… ok, ok… I LOVE CHICKEN WINGS!
These wings are, in my humble opinion, the best wings in Huntsville, by far.
I’ve tried this place and that place — and when I ordered these, I knew my hunt for the best chicken wings in Huntsville was over.
I used to write for an Atlanta Newspaper several years ago, as a secret food critic.
Had I known about these wings then, I would have told everyone in Atlanta to drive to Huntsville for the best wings on the planet!
A large order will keep anybody full — their ‘hot’ isn’t ‘that’ hot… but it’ll do… After all, I want to taste the wing, not put a fire out inside my mouth…

2.5 stars really, the wings are consistently good, so try the wings!
First off all the map showing the location of Bishops 53 Bar and Grill is wrong. It is located in the strip mall where Research Park Blvd intersects Hwy 53 North; also home to Los Trojas, a chinese restaurant, an Edward Jones office, a fitness place, and more.
Since Bishops bought this Bar and Grill, it’s a lot cleaner inside. They’ve added some new booths, and freshened up the décor. It is standard bar fare, food-​wise, including shrimp po boys, various hamburgers, club sandwiches, wings, a few salads and your standard appetizers.
They have several big screen TVs all playing sports. Oh, and it’s smoke-​friendly. So, patrons are allowed to smoke inside.
The fries are good if you eat them ASAP, right as they are served. They have beer specials and other drink specials on a small board on the wall, and they serve wine like one gets on an airplane (small bottle, twist off top). I think my «classic club» at dinner time (with french fries) was 8.95.
