Fast Eddie’s Full Service Car Wash and Detail Center

Very disappointed with the interior of the car after paying $ 21 for a wash and vacuum. Exterior was nice but as the picture shows the vacuum forgot to actually suction. If we weren’t hurrying to a baseball game I would have DEFINITELY complained. Disappointed as I don’t recall ever trying them out before.

Always pleased with the friendly staff and quick service we receive from Fast Eddie’s in Huntley. The exterior always comes back to my sparkly pearl white and my black lacquer interior always shines. I usually visit during the morning hours on weekdays, so they’re not as busy and seem to give extra attention to the vehicles they’re working on. I love having the monthly wash service, I go at least once a week so it averages about $ 7.50 per wash — I have the basic package and it seems to work well for me. I highly recommend this location though I like Crystal Lake too.

I enrolled for their monthly program and was frankly satisfied with the car wash which led me to make this commitment.
This morning I went to have my first unlimited car wash and was reminded at the register that I enrolled in the M-​T program which obviously does not include Friday’s.
I simply forgot this program detail and unfortunately did not have my wallet with me to pay for the wash. They already had my credit card details and although this was a simple error on my part they demanded payment or something of value from me incase I decided to not return later and steal my car wash. Keep in mind I was already a committed and they had my credit card information on file.
I only had my phone and gave it to them for their piece of mind. I then decided to give them my manufactures first aid kit from my trunk so that I could have my phone for the quick trip home.
I returned, paid for my wash and canceled the monthly program. The lady at the counter was very nice and simply explained that it was the managers policy to basically not trust their customers. This situation was not handled well and I was clearly not a random person trying to steal a car wash. If they cannot trust me when they already have my information on file than I cannot trust them with my car. This situation was very inconvenient and my wife was late to work.

I work construction, and my truck gets filthy regularly. I am a monthly member and get the super wash. The exterior is always pretty good, the cleanliness of the interior depends on the individual wiping it down. some times they really do a great job, other times they do miss stuff. As I said my truck gets dusty each day from work, so that does not bother me too much. As a monthly club member, I go once a week and keep the exterior clean. Membership is 49.95 a month for the 7 day super wash membership, I go once a week so in effect I pay $ 12.50 a wash. works out well for me. I also go to the Huntley location and the manager is very nice. I have read other reviews that describe the managers at the other locations as jerks, but the manager in Huntley is very friendly and good with the customers

I am very disappointed in this place. The guy that works the counter there all it’s says is employee 520 on receipt is extremely rude. He wears glasses. He rung me out, didn’t even say thank you or have a nice day he was more concerned about the tv. meanwhile while I was here he argued with a customer about the poor detail job they did and how they scratched his tints up. #1 rule in customer service… the customer is always right!!! It’s very sad that their customer service sucks here. I get my 2 cars washed weekly and we will never go back again.

My first and LAST time there. Terrible, terrible customer service. Went there around 9 AM this morning for the first time and bought the «ultimate» package and paid for extras like RainX treatment at $ 3.50. I still have the receipt to prove it. So it 3:14pm same day and I’m driving and notice that the rain isn’t beading off my windshield. So I call and a man answers after the third ring saying his name is Tom, manager. I tell him my problem and ask how I would get a refund for something I didn’t get and he answered me with a pause and condescending tone, «We don’t give refunds ma’am. We’re closed, you’ll just have to come in tomorrow between 8 and 6 and we’ll reapply it for you. But I don’t understand how that would happen.» I told him I was leaving town tomorrow to which he didn’t say anything. I spent almost $ 70 they are my first visit as I bought things in the shop as well and I would probably do that every couple of months. But I’ll be doing that elsewhere because his attitude on the phone was like I was some criminal or idiot. I don’t like being told «You’ll just have to come in on Monday» like there are no other options.

Totally not worth the money or the time. The one in Algonquin by Jewel does a better job for less. Yeah, I’ll drive the extra 4 miles to Algonquin…

I brought my vehicle here for an interior detail. When I picked it up I noticed they had damaged the leather on the driver’s seat. The person who gave me my car kept telling me they couldn’t «get it off». But it was clear that something had scratched or burned through the top layer of the leather. The manager had me fill out an incident report and promised that the owner would contact me within 5 business days. He made no apologies whatsoever. I have yet to hear from the owner and I’m not holding my breath. I will never bring my vehicle here again.

I’m not sure why this is called Fast Eddies because it is NOT fast. I’ve been there twice. The first time it was well over a half hour and the second time was 45 minutes. They have three lines to filter cars into to be vacuumed. One would think they’d have 3 guys vacuuming. NOPE — one guy and one guy running around pulling cars into the wash and taking customer orders. Then it goes through the wash and maybe 4 – 5 guys drying cars. Although they are paying attention to detail to dry the cars, why is it taking 10 – 15 minutes to dry a car? We purchased a gift card that has a $ 24 balance — does anyone want it because we won’t be using it!

Sllllllllooooowwwww service! Pulled in today and there was a huge line. This was to be expected as it was a Saturday after the winter thaw and everyone wants the salt off their cars. Waited in line for 12 minutes until I finally handed my car off. I selected the ultimate wash and it took over 45 minutes!
They assign each vehicle a single car wash attendant! Rather than have a crew formed in an assembly line quickly drying your car off! This is insane and a very slow operation! If you went to this place when it was Powell’s and expect the same fast service think again!
A couple of other notes… They painted the building in a horrible paint scheme. To me it looks like a major eye soar and I am surprised the village approved it. Also, these cheapo’s took out the drinking fountain and replaced it with a machine selling bottled water for $ 1.75!!! While you are trapped dealing with their sllllllllloooooow service you will get thirsty and it will cost you. They also write with some kind of erase marker on the inside front windows. This is a big no-​no if the car has window film (like my car) And finally… These guys put the hard sell on their car wash club service while you are trapped waiting for them to finally wash your car.
I won’t be back and I would be shocked it these guys are around more than a couple years unless they change their slow motion operation.

Very disappointed. We were long time customers of their Crystal Lake location. Stopped in this morning had my key fob in my cup holder, left went straight to work go to get out off my car and it is gone. They were polite about telling me how busy they are and telling me there was nothing they could do to help me, They have caused a significant cost and leaving me stranded is a huge inconvenience yet they just seem to busy today to care.
If you go there triple check everything of value is still in your car and that your key fob hasn’t gone missing, because if they happened to vacuum it up and they already have your money they really won’t care.

I’ve gone to Fast Eddies a couple times now and I have been satisfied with their work. Obviously this is a convenient place to go. It isn’t the place I would take a $ 100k+ car to but the staff is very nice, the lady at the counter is very trustworthy and is there to meet the needs of the customer. Instead of trying to make you buy services you don’t need she is advising people and looking for returning customers. I have bought a monthly pass for a very reasonable price. I do believe this is still a place where you need to check your car for missed spots before you leave. The cleaning staff works hard and fast so there are times they make mistakes.
I would recommend this place.
