All our work is done on site, by our veteran upholsterer & seamstress. Let us come to you or visit our fabric showroom today. Commercial & Residential Services, All designers & decorators are welcome.

No project to small nor to big, even if its quick seam repair. All pick-​ups/​deliveries are no extra charge, estimates are complimentary.

History

Established in 1925.

Louis F Brengal, came over from Germany. 1923 he came to NYC and worked for an high end furniture manufacture. Saving his funds, he looked out to Long Island for a place of his own. 1925 Louis came to Huntington and founded Sun Upholstery Shop. Sun became and instant hit with the town, offering his old world skills in upholstery to the great estates of the Gold Coast. Louis retired and sold Sun to Holigstock, but after a short time at the shop, he realized his dreams was to be out west on the silver screen & passed the business on to the Du-​pree family fresh from France. The Du-​pree family worked and ran the business form the late 30’s till there children passed the business to the Grimes Family in 1977 & we have been here since. Sun Upholstery takes great pride in the history of Huntington and of this business. We will always offer the same personal cater services as Louis did and continue his old world styles.
