History

Established in 1927.

We are a fifth generation family owned and operated business that has been serving the Huntington area since 1927. We started as a full service gas station that expanded into a service station and restaurant up until 1973 when the restaurant was closed. We remained both a full service gas station and automotive & truck repair shop until 1999 when we decided to stop selling gas. Since that time we have continued to be a full service automotive & truck repair shop and truck accessory retailer/​installer. Dave Schroeder, great grandson of founder D.H. Schroeder, owns and operates Schroeder’s Automotive with his two sons Josh and Chris. In January of 2015 we added Schroeder’s Automotive Specialists (East) after purchasing Kipp’s Muffler Shop. The East location operations are managed by Josh Schroeder.
