Kalmar Family podiatry specializes in Foot and ankle care from heel pain to bunions and everything in the middle. This practice has 4 qualified Foot Doctors to care for you. We have laser treatment for fungal toenails, that not all podiatric offices have. Our youngest physician is Dr. Matthew Kalmar a board qualified physician with the ABPM and the ABPS who had his surgical residency training at the Northport VA. He specializes in wound care and limb salvage. Dr. Robert Kalmar, our senior physician specializes in primary podiatric care, and was one of the first podiatrist in Long Island performing HOUSE CALLS on your loved ones. Dr. Matthew Kassanove is the current president of the Suffolk county APMA, and was voted Podiatrist of the year in suffolk county in 2011. Dr. Neal Houslanger, a past president of the Suffolk county himself brings 37 years of experience and board certification to our practice. History

Established in 1980.

The office was started in 1980 when 2 brothers Dr. Robert Kalmar, DPM, and Dr. Gregory Kalmar, DDS decided to open an office in Huntington where they grew up. This was the beginings of the Kalmar family office. As the years went on each office grew beyond the capacity of its walls, and an extension was made seperating podiatry from dental. As the years went on Greg’s only daughter Kelly joined her father in practice on the dental side. Robert’s middle son Matthew soon followed suite and joined his father on the podiatric side. With his youngest child Garrett currently performing his residency in podiatry in Rhode Island, and his nephew Justin in podiatry school, Robert has yet to see the practice hit its full family potential.
