A pig with makeup. On Bar rescue this place looked interesting, different story when you actually get there. For starters the place was renovated like a TV set stage. Faux walls, cheapy material, and the further you go back(where the cameras weren’t) the worse. Bathroom was still absolutely disgusted and not updated(same gross bathroom from the former artful dodger) the vent was exposed and was caked in dust and dirt. Beer was still your typical Lawn guy land fair(bud and bud light, nothing but the best) and the mixed drink were meh. I personally did not order anything that didn’t come pre-capped, after watching the episode and the neglect behind the bar from the owner I wouldn’t trust the cleanliness. End of the story is, I would stay away. If you want a real speakeasy with good drinks and good owner stay in downtown Manhattan.

Genuinely surprised this place is still in business. Awful owner, awful prices, awful drink selection, and drug use, not the mellow /somewhat acceptable kind of drug use, in the back bar area. The bar was EMPTY, when me and my buddies came in. Then one of my friends was rudely spoken to when asked where the bathrooms were… Awful experience, will never go back.

I really like this place. Its pretty solid. I like cocktails and craft drinks. They have an awesome drink menu. The décor is pretty solid. I love the prohibition feel. This is a place I can take my wife to. Its not full of obnoxious brats and you aren’t fighting for space at the bar because there are comfortable seats. I recommend everyone start their night here for a pre-dinner drink or finish the night off with a cocktail.

Went there for an after dinner drink. Love how it was re-done into a speakeasy, not any if not any others on LI. It has a great atmosphere but had kind of a divey smell to it. Went there before the DJ, so before the bouncer was at the door. There was a small coffee house vibe with someone playing the guitar. Went to the bar to order drinks, Bartender was really nice but it took about 10 minutes to get our drinks. One of my friends came up to me and was ready to bounce but I put my order in 5 minutes before. Don’t know why the wait there was another bartender there and it wasn’t packed. Thought I try something different and got the Bootician which has egg whites in, which turned out to be really good. The bathroom looks unfinished and needs a little sprucing up. Overall I liked it. A nice place to grab a drink early before the DJ or after a show.

Stopped by here for the first time last Saturday night for pre-dinner drinks and I am most gratified we did. What a great space to come and have a drink. We really got a kick out of the false garage wall entrance and it’s «speakeasy» atmosphere. Where the hell else can one find a Gin Rickey on a drink menu anymore? The cocktails were superbly executed and well worth the $ 12 per drink price tag. I’m hearing a lot of complaints about this, but this is what one would expect to pay for a fine cocktail made with top grade ingredients and boutique-style spirits. Hellfire bitters, mescal, and fresh lime juice? I’m in! The space itself is pretty sleek. Dim lighting, sofas, and soothing live entertainment makes for a romantic setting and a great place to bring a date. Would definitely return here if in the area for a pre or post dinner drink. Top notch! Highly recommend.

I heard about this place from a friend and had been meaning to stop by. Finally got a chance a couple of weeks ago when a few friends and I went out for a drink in Huntington. This place was great! The atmosphere is lively but not obnoxious. The bartender Josh really made us feel welcome and we loved all of his drink recommendations. We got lucky and managed to get a great spot at the corner of the bar and didn’t have to wait for drinks all night. My only problem with this place is that it is EXPENSIVE. I spent a lot more money than I intended and that’s the only thing that would keep me from coming back. That being said the drinks were strong and of decent quality. They used Kettle One vodka for their well drinks which is definitely better than what I’ve had at other similarly priced bars in Huntington. Overall we had a great time and if I had more money I’d go here more often.

It started with a lousy greeting from an overzealous bouncer who refused to let me into the bar with my winter hat. Not that I had to take it off inside, I was not allowed to bring it inside. His excuse? I would start to drink and forget that I was not allowed to wear it. Let’s get one thing straight, I’m a grown man and perfectly capable of NOT wearing my hat if I’m asked not to. That’s to put aside the fact that the bouncer, all three bartenders and at least two other patrons inside were all wearing hats. This guy had a bug up his *** for no reason. Once inside, we were greeted with a typical«speakeasy» type of atmosphere. I really think they were going for authenticity because they even priced the drinks as if we were still in prohibition. Overpriced, small pours and average quality at best. Save your money and go elsewhere. Even Bar Rescue could not help this place.

Tried to go there one night during the week(it was a Tuesday, I believe), but at 9 at night and it was closed. Finally was able to get in last night(on a Friday). You can tell the renovations are starting to fall apart already — cracked ceilings, chipped paint, ladies’ room was dirty. The décor and theme is cool, though. Drinks were $ 12 a pop for the signature cocktails, and the one my boyfriend ordered came in about a 4 oz glass. He said it was pretty tasty, but way overpriced. I got a double vodka tonic which came to about $ 14, but at least that was in a pint glass. One of the people I was with ordered a water from one of the waitresses walking around and she never brought it – I don’t think Taffer would’ve liked that. Overall, not very impressed, but not entirely disappointed.

I had a fantastic evening at Ps & Qs! My friends and I went here for my 30th birthday and I was blown away. The service was impeccable! We found a cozy spot on a couch just to the side of some live entertainment. Within moments, we were greeted by a cheery waitress offering us drinks. The bar was packed, so I was thrilled to have such service. The cocktails are fantastic, all crafted with perfection. I love old school drinks with gin and whiskey, so this place was right up my alley. Of course I’m another bar rescue fan who never heard of the artful dodger, but this concept struck my fancy. I wanted to try all their drinks, but only succeeded in about half the list. Their décor is great, tons of old liquor and prohibition references. I wish I lived closer so I could drink a bees knees every day. I bet they do too. I highly recommend this place. Great ambiance, not too loud & fantastic service. The only downfall is they do not serve food. I ended up at another local bar and to say the least I wish we never left Ps & Qs. Keep doing what you’re doing, and if you can throw a fryer in the back I’d think you’ll be in even better shape =)

I was in town visiting a friend(in October 2014) and after seeing this place on Bar Rescue, I just HAD to visit. I LOVE what they’ve done with the place. Not having been when it was The Artful Dodger, I had no comparison other than what I saw on tv. The place is classy. Great interior décor. Delicious drinks. Two cons to the place: 1. There seems to be a patio in progress. Not sure what’s going on back there, but it’s all concrete and a few tarps. It was weird and I hope they finish it. The way I saw it was detracting from the rest of the bar. 2. The night we were there, there was really bizarre live music going on. Like, New Age-y or almost Indian. There was a sitar involved. It was fine, but it really didn’t fit in with the overall vibe of the place. How about a 3-piece jazz trio? Or a keyboard and vocalist? The drinks were DELICIOUS but EXPENSIVE. It was part of the reason we only stayed for 1 – 2 drinks. They’ve got a decent selection of beers if you’re into that. I can’t recall the drinks I had– if there was a menu online(or even a website), I’d be able to pick out what I drank. Sorry I can’t give better detail! I know one of the drinks was full of rum. I would definitely visit Ps & Qs next time I’m in town!

This is a bar rescue bar from television. Didn’t get inside this place. Apparently it’s not open during the day. Was there on a Sunday afternoon/evening and it was not open. Checked out their Facebook page and called their phone # which went to a cell phone voice mail. Their Facebook said 6pm opening. We waited until 6 to go back and it was still closed. Looked back on Facebook and messaged them to see if anyone answered to see what time they were opening and they responded«around 7». Needless to say we took our $ 100 elsewhere to spend. Someone needs to alert Taffer that his rescue can’t even open on time…

Decided to go to this bar after watching it on bar rescue. The bar had an amazing look. They had a list of 8 specialty drinks but unfortunately I had to wait a few to get a drink. I had a French 33 which was raspberry with champagne, it tasted good. If u like 80s music then this is the bar for you. The only negative I can say is that they had no food.

The entire theme of the bar is very interesting. The front looks like a small storefront but pushing against a false wall reveals the entrance. The place was quiet but for a Sunday night it was to be expected. The bartender and staff were very nice and willing to talk with us to help us pick out the best drinks for us. The signature cocktails were a little pricey but for the quality it’s just about worth it. I would recommend the Bootican. Looking forward to coming again and seeing how the place continues.

Cool spot with a hidden entrance and lounge-style atmosphere. Drinks were on the pricey side. Bar was quieter than most if the pubs in the area. Inside decoration was nice.

Same dumpy place with a different name and«spruced up» interior. Service was non existent when I visited with my brother, ignored by bartender, we walked out. I miss the old old Dodger with dart board and tokens given out on 2fer nights!

Great atmosphere, great drinks, fabulous service. In love with the new and improved P’s and Q’s auto-body. Went here on a Friday night at around midnight. Was shocked to see the drastic improvement to the place. Bar rescue has done wonders to this bar! Had a gin rickey, which was delicious, and tried a sidecar and some craft brews. I’ll definitely be back. Will probably be a regular now!!!

The pros: Bartender was nice and willing to discuss the upcoming Bar Rescue episode(airs October 5th). I had two cocktails($ 12.25 apiece) — the Bee’s Knees and a Sidecar. The Bee’s Knees was fanastic — gin, honey, lemon juice squeezed right the bar. The Sidecar was good, but not as good as the Bee’s Knees. Also, the interior and décor were fantastic. The cons: Music was way too loud for the upscale vibe they are looking to project. Also, the bartender poured himself a Sidecar when I ordered one and had a sip while we were there.

Formerly The Artful Dodger/Radio, P’s and Q’s Autobody is a newly re-concepted concept Speakeasy Bar redone by one of the industries best nightlife and bar consultants. Once upon a time when I first moving to Huntington, someone mentioned to me that you never go to The Artful Dodger unless you want to be taken out in handcuffs or on a stretcher. I had the unfortunate opportunity to visit the«old» place. No need to rehash the past but I barely lasted an hour each time. It was a dark, dank environment, which was overflowing with guys and girls who were barely 21, most whom were way past over-served, living out a club fantasy in the bar that served cocktails that you could possibly enjoy if you had no tastebuds. If you were over the age of 25, you were probably viewed as a senior citizen to most of the patrons and the bartenders were less than gracious. Fast Forward to Now: My husband and I made sure we checked out the place the day after it opened. We wanted to try cocktails that were redone and on point and see the bar the way it was redesigned. I was a little hesitant at first, to a passerby it looks like an auto body shop. When we got to the door, the bouncers out front were very nice and we were welcomed to the«speakeasy», you push your way through a disney world type door that looks like the face of an autoshop and are transformed into an old word speakeasy. Brilliant and honestly, pretty cool. The bar is completely redone, with the bottles on beautiful wood shelves, cool lamps everywhere and bar stools(something that was lacking before). You can find pretty awesome old-timey lounge couches scattered around and a piano in the back(which hopefully they will have someone play). We were greeted right away by the bartender Brittany, who was super nice and attentive. The cocktail list was great featuring whiskey and gin drinks. I particularly HATE gin and whiskey so when I saw this on the cocktail list I kind of poo pooed it but decided to try it, it’s not everyday you get to try a cocktail designed by one of the best bartenders in the world. I tried the French 33 and PQ Ginger. UMDELICIOUS. Our drinks were consistent and made perfectly. They weren’t too weak or too strong. The flavors complimented each other in such a way that I didn’t even notice I was drinking something I am not a number one fan of. Cocktails were $ 12.25 each, pretty reasonable for a well made drink. The crowd started getting a little younger the later we stayed and a little more, well cocky, club-goerish… It seemed like they were there for what the place used to be, it seemed like they’d come in and then leave which was fine by me. After all, it was only their second night open so I’m sure everyone needs time to adjust and get used to being something new. Had some nice talks with the bartender, and another worker Brian, who were super nice and seem onboard with cleaning the place up and keeping up with the concept. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to. One of the coolest bars with some of the best cocktails in Huntington, I can say for sure. Hope it stays! Great job guys.
