History

Established in 1987.

Once Upon a Baby Gallery started selling personalized handpainted hi-​top baby sneakers with matching socks at the Roosevelt Raceway flee market Feb.23,1987, located in Westbury, NY Isle 12 to be exact, people loved them so much, they started asking me to make diaper covers, Onesies, and tee shirts to match, then one thing led to another, and the business snowballed into a baby clothing business, the 100 year old sneaker company i previously did business with called Lithonian located in PA, unfortunately went out of business, so i continued in the baby clothing business, and that is how Once Upon a Baby Gallery was born. I then went on to explore doing trade shows at the NYC Javitz center selling wholesale nationwide, Jildors in Cedarhurst, Lil Shoe Box in Plainview were my first two accounts, and once the wholesale markets grew soft due to the economy, i went into retail full time. However, to this day i still have a large interest in selling wholesale to stores nationwide.

I enjoy designing, and making beautiful outfits for expecting mothers, and gift giving, art and design have always been a passion of mine, what is really amazing is that I am now making outfits for many of the babies who came home in my outfits for there children, by now, I am well into the 2^nd generation. It is so exciting when customers who made purchases 25 years ago stop by my store to say hi, and tell me there daughter will be having there first child, and they will be back to buy everything in the store, I just think to myself, WOW! i cant beleive this! its pretty amazing when you actually think about it.
