Burt Lumber, founded in 1964, provides products and services to building professionals and homeowners on Long Island, and in the Tri-​state area of New York. We specialize in decking materials, carrying top brands of PVC and composite decking — Trex, Azek and Timbertech products. We also carry a full line of real wood decking materials, including IPE, cedar, mahogany, redwood and treated wood as well as all materials needed to complete any decking project. Various contracting services offered by the company, include tailored accounts, special orders, blue print takeoffs, product searching, delivery and yard services. Burt Lumber provides a variety of products, including Douglas fir, cedar, redwood, pine, hardwoods, lattice, plywood, hardwood ply, gypsum, roofing, masonry, Tecos, metals, vinyl siding, steel studs, insulation, mouldings, doors, windows, hardware, paints and stains, adhesive and caulking, hand tools, power tools and pneumatic tools.

History

Established in 1964.

Burt Lumber is a family business that was originally owned by Mr. Raymond Burt. In 1964 James Marino Sr. became an owner in the business at the original location, 747 Park Avenue, Huntington, NY. Over many years, Jim Sr., a very well respected lumber business man, taught his four sons everything he knew about the lumber trade. In 1986, Jim Sr. expanded the business and purchased a second location at 51 W. Hills Rd, Huntington Station, NY. Sadly, Jim Sr. passed away in 2006, but his work ethic, and superb knowledge of the building industry continues. Today both Burt Lumber locations are owned and operated by the Marino sons — Jeff, Jay, Jim Jr. and Jon.
