Attack of the Killer Carnitas

I honestly don’t know what these other people are talking about with the negative comments. Probably a competitor or something but i’ve tried their food on a number of occasions and got to say that I love their burritos and especially their nachos, which they make their chips right there, so warm and crispy and their salsa is the bomb. Keep up the great work and i’ll be eating more nachos the next time i see you

Attack of the killer carnitas has one major weapon in its arsenal of attack — It’s the surprise that their food is really below average and they couldn’t make it as a standard roach coach, so they decided to just throw on a witty name on the side of the truck, get yourself a twitter handle and sure enough they think they can charge an arm and a leg for this food.
Not worth the price of admission. At best, this is a $ 3 – 4 burrito joint that is trying to pass itself off as a gourmet food truck. And while I have no problem with those unnamed roach coaches, hell, I survived off them for years, this one isn’t even that good compared to the others. Which I guess is the most offensive aspect of all this.
Overpriced crappy food is never good for anyone. By all means, avoid this truck if you see it at your standard food truck gatherings. Save your money for another more worthy truck. One that isn’t overpriced burritos that don’t have even wound worthy carnitas.
Really not worthy of the Gourmet truck status it pretends to have, not only that, but it shouldn’t even have roach coach status as it gives those trucks a bad name.

Wanted to give a 2.5 but couldn’t. I got a carnitas burrito thinking hmm this is a carnitas truck, it’s gotta be good. Wrong. The only thing killer about this truck is the debt on your wallet for paying $ 7 for a mediocre burrito. Unless you love beans and rice and a bit of lack luster carnitas I’d eat somewhere else. Super disappointed. If you want amazing carnitas, go to La Tolteca. Their carnitas are amazing. Best I have ever eaten.

For a specialty food truck I would have to say they are just 2 Stars… I happen to be at a Friday night Dine out in NOHO when I came across them… Thinking that the Name explains it all I ordered «The Killer Carnita Burrito well let’s just say there wasn’t anything «Killer» about it… Well maybe the price @ $ 8 for a burrito you’re better off going to Taco Bell or maybe to a regular lunch truck… I mean the burrito was mainly rice & beans with a few chunks of meat. They did have a large selection of chips and soft drinks for those that want to make it a combo…
Maybe the use of more meat & chili might bring the name closer to reality but until then I would say they there are better ways to apply hard earned monies…
