Warner Transmission

When I went up to this shop I was treated by the owner. He was nice and honest. Examined my Saturn Outlook and found that it was indeed the transmission. He told me I could take it to the dealer and they would charge more for a new transmission or that he could do a reverb and it would be less than what the dealer wanted. I called GM and he was right they wanted more than I was quoted at Warner Transmision. I’m thankful I was referred to them they did a great job everyone is so nice and honest. I will definitely refer anyone here.

They do great service here. I am very skeptical when it comes to doctors, lawyers and mechanics. But these guys were very helpful and make you comfortable with their knowledge.
My 2013 jaguar xj was making weird sound when the shift change up or down, also sometimes making sound when it neutral.
At first I went to the jaguar service in newport beach they said it will cost approx $ 7000 to fix the transmission and they weren’t even sure this will fix the problems. And then I tried aamco costa mesa they also gave me unreasonable price and they hold my car two days just give an estimate.
Finally I found this warner transmission thru my friend, not just they fixed my car cheaper than the orhers they also pin point the problem and explain better.

Checked around for pricing and ended up here thanks to Unilocalers. Saved me $ 1800 on a rebuild. Threw in a rear main seal and only charged me for the gasket. How awesome is that!?! Would recommend to anyone needing transmission service or repair. 2 year 24,000 mile warranty too.

I have been few different transmission repair shop in orange county and everyone told me I need to change whole transmission it may cost around $ 5k 6k.
These are the only guys told me that I don’t need to change whole thing and it might be so much cheaper. They were very nice and they explained very well what’s the problem. At the end they fixed my transmision half price of what I got from other repair shop.
They are very busy but I didn’t mind waiting couple more days because I saved lots of money.

This shop came recommended by friends. Jose asked for couple of hours to check out the car– he was going to use computer to analyze the transmission. When I returned to shop, he said the transmission was fine but the catalytic converter was the issue for gears to appear to be slipping. He would not accept a payment so I left «lunch money» as I always appreciate an honest person! Thank you Jose!

These guys get the job done and they seem like straight shooters. I like the fact that they specialize in transmissions, I would rather take my failing trans to a place like this. I don’t think I will have a reason to come back but I will be sure to update my post if I have any problems down the line. If I don’t update my post, just assume my truck is running like a dream.

These guys are super-​honest!
My transmission blew out. They quoted me a good price (much better than my usual mechanic), and I took the car in. The next day, they called and told me that they checked the VIN number and discovered that the car is still under warranty.
They recommended that I pick it up and take it to the dealership. I ended up getting it fixed for free.
I can’t speak for their work (though there are lots of reviews that do) but It’s refreshing to find someone that will give up business to do the right thing.
Trust level is off the charts.

I thought I had a transmission problem because my car was making a high pitch noise when I put it into drive.
Took it to over and they were honest and told it my transmission is fine. Walked me over to another mechanic shop to have them look it over.

This is a follow up to my previous review of Warner Transmission! Thanks again George and Coco for a job well done, my little old lady Beetle had a noise coming from the front end and only George and his crew could diagnose it as bad wheel bearings. So I just left Warner Transmission and I couldn’t wait till I got home to write a review. Let me just say that George is the MAN! Honest, and one of the friendliest people you will ever meet. Good work, upfront about repairs and what to expect, no hidden fees and «tricks». Doesn’t try to get you to repair/​replace things that don’t need to be. Had my transmission rebuilt, took the car in Monday and had it back today (Friday). Runs GREAT! Would recommend this place to ANYONE looking for transmission service/​repair. Won’t go wrong with Warner Transmission!

George is the most honest transmission mechanic I have worked with in Orange County! I had been told by another shop that I needed to get my clutch replaced on my Mini ASAP, so I decided to take it to Warner to actually do the job due to the fact he had great Unilocal reviews. After taking it to him, he informed me that he does not think I need a new clutch and was wondering why someone told me that.
Needless to say, I was quite relieved George had told me that this repair would not be needed for a little while.
I will definitely be taking it to him when it actually does need it!

George is honest, trustworthy, and reliable. After going to five places to get estimates to fix my transmission, I decided to take my van to Warner Transmissions. After meeting George, he seemed like a good guy and knew everything and more about transmissions.
The engine light was on, so I took my van around to various shops see what the auto shops had to say about the problem and how much $$ it would be to fix it. When the codes were read at all places, it stated that the torque converter was the problem. One dealer service shop told me it would be $ 5,000 to fix, and that
My car would have more problems if I didn’t have the entire transmission replaced (of course, right?). However, George showed me the transmission model and pointed the area where the problems seemed to be. His estimate was also considerably, considerably less.
When I took my van there, he did some other tests on it and came to the conclusion, that at this time, the light had gotten stuck and it ultimately did not need transmission work done. I asked him what I owed him (he had taken the time with my car for a day and a half) he told me, «you don’t owe me anything.» Omg! That just doesn’t happen! George is cool. If you want an honest, intelligent, good all around guy to work on your transmission, you have to go to Warner Transmissions. He’s one in a million, I’m telling you…

About a year and a half ago I bought a car with my boyfriend at the time, with only about 60,000 miles on it. We expected it to be in good condition for at least a few more years, but a few months ago we began having transmission issues. Because we’ve been short on cash (and also admittedly because we are a little bit young and stupid) we didn’t take it to the shop right away and continued using the car even though there was something noticeably wrong. The two of us live in la habra, but we frequently spend time in Huntington beach– especially now that the weather is getting warmer. The last time we were down there the car quit on us, and we knew there was no way we could afford the tow expenses on top of what it would take to repair the car at our usual shop. Thankfully, friends of ours had been to Warner Transmission and recommended the shop to us.
We went that same day. George was extremely helpful! He explained in detail what needed to be done (it was obvious we had no idea what was going on) and quoted us a price that was far more affordable for us than any of the places near our home had. Amazingly, we were only without our car for a few days, and we were given a two year warranty. Which I am extremely grateful for. I would recommend this place to everyone now. Great place to go for all of your transmission issues!

Seriously one of the best car repair experiences I’ve ever had!
After several weeks of resetting my check engine light, I finally had to bite the bullet and have the codes read. Being the untrusting soul that I am when it comes to automotive techs, I first found a guy on craigslist and paid him $ 20 just to read the codes (not the quickie you get at Pep Boy’s, but the second level ones that really tell you something).
Armed with the knowledge that it was likely that my transmission was on it’s last leg, I scoured the Internet and, more specifically, Craigslist, to see who would give me the best deal on a rebuild while and not scam me at the same time.
After talking with several shops and some indie guys on Craigslist, I called and spoke with George at Warner Transmission. He offered to check the codes for free. Since I wasn’t certain how much longer my car would be mobile, I headed over there that day so he could take a look. George read the codes and confirmed what the other guy had said. He explained in detail what needed to be done and quoted me a price that was the best I had found. And, he offered a two-​year warranty versus the 12 months the other guys offered.
To top it off, we hadn’t planned on him starting the work right then, but he offered to drive me home! George saved me so much hassle and is a really helpful and sincere guy!
My car was finished in 3 days (exactly as he quoted) and he even put gas in the tank since I was nearly out when I got to his place.
It has been 3 months since he did the work and the transmission is running great! I highly recommend Warner Transmission great service, good guys, and super customer service!
