Toyama’s Pool & Spa Service

These clowns overfilled my pool on 3 occasions-​not ideal in a drought. Not only that, I had previously asked that they ask for my approval before doing services that cost me money. Not only did they not do this, they proceeded to try to charge me $ 150 for an easy to install part that I found on Amazon for $ 20, then they stopped cleaning my pool when I refused to pay their overcharge.

If it were possible, I would have given this business 0 stars. I was shocked by how immorally this business is run– I felt like we were paying them to rob us. Please reevaluate your decision before choosing to do business with them. Don’t repeat our mistake…

Had Toyama look at my pool to see if could service it. Guy looked it at but was not Mark. This guy wasn’t very customer service oriented. He sounded like he made his mind he didn’t want to service my pool. Too bad. I’ll remember their name.

I called this company to give me an estimate for service. First, when my phone call was answered, an individual told me he’d have to call me back later in the evening to set up an appointment, really? Why answer the call if cannot take care of business?
I noticed there’s a big disconnect between this individual and Mark. I met with Mark and he seemed more interested to get my business than the other individual. Person in sales gives a high estimate when they don’t want an account. Because of this, I’m not sure I’ll pursue this company to service my pool.

I had bought a house that had a pool. I didn’t know how to take care of it. A few months later, I had a green pool. I needed some help. Found Toyama’s on line. The guy came over, told me the problem, told me what to do and sure enough, a few days later, the pool clears up. This guy was friendly, understanding, and affordable. Outstanding service!

I was looking for a spa re-​plaster on a large spa that had been decommissioned for 4 years. I bid it to 5 guys and my selection criteria was 1) HB local, 2) Understanding of the job, 3) Willingness to sign up to a schedule and be paid based on it and 4) someone I could work with and learn from as I would be bringing the equipment back to life.
Mark Toyama and Brian Smith were the clear winners. They did what they said when they said. They treated the finish as if it were their own pool and did not accept any imperfection. Brian went the extra effort on plaster day to search everywhere for an accent step tile my wife would approve. He understood who the customer was at that critical point and satisfied.

Excellent, phenomenal service! Mark, the owner knows what he is doing… seriously! I have a huge pool that I tried maintaining on my own without success and this company turned my green, cloudy pool to a sparkling, clear turquoise blue oasis! Five years later it remains this way! This is a family owned operation! There have been no hidden costs and whenever the pool needs a little extra attention (due to overuse of my lovely dog), Dave and the owner Mark have gone out of their way to come extra days without charging me! Highly recommend this company!!!

Mark is honest and professional always great service. I like that they show up every week and always make the pool look awesome and clean.

I’ve known of Toyamas pool and spa for years and have had many friends utilize their services. I’ve heard nothing but great feedback from everyone. Toyamas is very professional and incredibly knowledgable! I’ve talked to them to get second opinions for friends and they always know the exact answer to my questions. With years of experience and professionalism I would not hesitate to refer them to everyone I know. A pool or spa may seems like a simple task to keep in check but it’s unbelievable how much knowledge is needed regarding chemicals, maintenance, pumps, etc! Even if your pool looks nice it could be incredibly polluted or dangerously off balance, something I never knew. Leave it up to a PROFESSIONAL like Toyamas to PROPERLY maintain your pool or spa.
Seriously, a great locally owned business!
