The Home Depot

So sad to say this but another terrible experience at Home Depot… I hate going… we never find what we need, when we asked 5 different employees about what we were in for only one person tried to help us find it, only 1 knew what we were talking about, and none of them made an effort to look at their own inventory or computer to find out for us. I finally googled it, showed them a picture of it from the Home Depot website and then the employee told us where in the store it would be. We went to that section only to find out that this location did not carry this particular type of sand. Not only that… no one offered to order it for us since Home Depot obviously does sell it, you would think they would offer to help get you what you came in for. My oh my… I hope I never have to go back there again. What a waste of time.

According to Carl in plumbing, I have all the bits. Yay! Nothing fell down the drain. Now I just need to turn them around the right way.
Go #Carl @ #HomeDepot! He picked up an intact faucet to show me an example and the right way up for the parts.

This home depot location is consistently a pleasure to shop at. It is well staffed with knowledgable and available staff. Particular kudos to Josh Whitaker who was incredibly helpful in assisting me and my wife narrow down our choices among the multiple carpet selections.

This is for Michael in appliances. He is all about service. I needed a washing machine the next day… mine was dead. Home Depot tried, but couldn’t deliver for 5 days… SO…he found the store, close by, that had the machine I wanted, gave them Home Depot price, sent me on my way… Howards price matched and delivered the next day…5 stars to both stores!

Where do I begin, well, me and my friend hannah had a chance to built a catapult for our physics class to replace taking a final, so we wanted to take that offer but the thing was, two 17 year old girls don’t know how to make an A+ catapult, so we went to Home Depot in hopes of getting some advice, but even better, we had the lovely employee miguel help us with the whole thing which turned out amazing and our teacher was very proud, thank you so much Miguel for your service and help, we appreciate it beyond belief! go to Miguel if you need a good catapult made for cheap!

I hate to leave bad reviews for people. Purchased a Maytag washer. Never worked at the get go. Purchased with extended warranty, called the warranty guys up. They say return it back, as warranty kicks in 15 days. Wow !!! So finally I go back to home depot and I am helped by Kelly, I was very relaxed to explain the situation, but was responded by an attitude, as if I am at fault. I did tell her to be at least cordial and I am the one who should have an attitude after facing 24 days, to date of calling these guys up, back n forth.
Finally I had to speak the the Manager, and explain him, Kelly’s attitude towards this situation.
Hopefully Customer Service shall get better. Honestly I doubt it.

This review is for the carpet installation team and review of the management of home depot. I generally hate writing bad reviews but this one needed to be written. In short, I ordered carpet for my house. I was told the carpet I ordered was in stock and that it would take 10 – 14 days max to get the carpet installed in my house. I needed the installation to be complete to move into my house. I was charged 50 dollars to have Home Depot come by and take measurements in my house. Fine. The guy came and I officially ordered the carpet. Over a month goes by and I hear nothing from Home Depot or their installer. I had to call customer service many times to get to the bottom of it. Nothing but excuses. Around 2 months after ordering officially (after measurement guy comes) and tons of excuses from home depot, someone finally comes to install my carpet. I had someone there for the installation and I got several calls from a manager at Home Depot trying to charge me an extra 500 dollars for my carpet installation. This is literally a 20% mark up shake down they are trying to get me to pay even after I waited 2 months to get my carpet installed. They said they needed to charge me all this extra money for glue and strips to install the carpet. They tried to blame it on me even though I told them all the correct details and they charged me 50 dollars for one of their guys to come in and look. The managers were nasty with me over the phone and demanded an authorization for charging me extra money. I refused and argued with them profusely. Eventually they said they would cover it and continued to blame me. No apologies. They didn’t even care they promised me 10 – 14 days for installation. Super unprofessional and horrible service. I’ve lost time and money waiting for Home Depot. They have lost my business (not like they care).

I wanted to return 5 plants and only had my reciepts. I did not have the original pots they came in so the plants were still in my own colorful pots. I came in and the 3 associates at the return/​customer service desk were wonderful! They were so helpful! Good experience for me! 2 thumbs up to them!

Just want to give a big thanks to Ben who helped me solve a huge problem with fencing for my dog he even cut the pieces I needed to fit. Really was very helpful. And also to Eric who helped us load our car and tie down the fencing excellent service all the way around.

The hubby and I were searching for jalapeño plants for the back yard and bird seed for our back yard bird feeders. We like the quantity and quality of plants that are offered here. The gardening section’s staff are pretty informative but we Google information anyways! Fingers crossed these jalapeño plants stay alive!

I didn’t think to do Unilocal reviews of Home Depot. I’ve come to this store for many years and usually find what I need. Today was no exception. We had a color coupon that needed to be matched and the young person at the paint counter asked me all the right questions. While he mixed the paint, I found all the painting accessories that I will need. The gallon of paint was ready and I headed to the plumbing department. Plumbing is always a hit or a miss for me and the person that was there could not help because ‘they don’t make it that way’…It looks like I’ll have to improvise. At the hardware department I found what I think will work. No problems at the checkout and I’ll probably be back again really soon.

It’s close to my home.
The pedestrian walkway in front of the store is always jam packed with wheelbarrow, bbqs, plants, etc. so you are forced to walk in the traffic lanes of the parking lot. Not a very safe situation.
Same deal inside. Aisles are packed with merchandise to the degree that it is hard to maneuver a cart thru the store.
As far as employees go, it’s hit or miss. A real cross section of society. There are some real knowledgeable, energetic ones and then there are ones that you wonder how they hang on year after year. After years I know who’s who and only gravitate to the shining stars and don’t waste my time with the others.
I always wonder when you say good morning to an employee here and they respond with «Is it?» why they bother coming to work in a retail customer service establishment. Work should be enjoyable, not drudgery.
I used to use my Home Depot card here. When I signed up years ago they offered 5% discount just like Lowes. That has recently stopped, though Lowes still happily offers the 5% discount for using their card.
So there is really no reason any longer to use the Home Depot card. I will be using my other cash back rewards cards.

Anthony is very nice… the other 15 employees I encountered were HORRIBLE!!! Worst customer service ever! Lowes is so much nicer. These employees are lazy, unfriendly and arrogant! Absolutely the worst HD in the area. We do A LOT of business with HD and this is the 2^nd awful experience I’ve had here. No one asks if you need anything, no one smiles, no one is happy. Don’t shop here!

Harlan in appliances is by far the nicest and most helpful worker I have ever dealt with. My wife and I just purchased a home and are buying all new appliances, and he spent hours with us picking out just what we wanted at the best price. One of the most genuine and nice people in this world, and he knew what he was talking about. Couldn’t be happier.

Really impressed with Jack in tools. He approached me and asked if I need help. I was exasperated trying to find the right impact driver. He recommended one that PERFECTLY fit my needs at a great price and educated me on accessories.

Warning! This place treat you like a criminal. I purchased 10 plastic tub’s and the cashier made me take apart each and everyone. What does she think I’m hiding in there Jose?

We recently began the process of changing some appliances and kitchen items. I thought Home Depot had decent prices and I could get everything done at once, more or less and that it would be most convenient.
I was a bit disappointed with my experience. I spoke with two gentleman in the kitchen department. The first man was helpful, but I had the feeling he was new or this wasn’t his usual beat in the HD. When I came back I spoke with the other man, he seemed to have trouble locating what I was looking for, and seemed pretty purplexed by some of questions. So I guess the first fellow was «The Guy» haha. I wouldn’t think it would be that big of a deal, but I don’t like to feel like I have to coax services out of a place like Home Depot. It seemed like I was getting a lot of, «Oh no, we don’t do that.» And, «Hey Jerry, we can’t do this can we?»
Maybe this was just an off day, but it was strange service. I would probably buy elsewhere and pay a handyman next time.

I built a retaining wall for a garden recently and had the pro desk price out all of the parts for me. When they did it they said that I’d have extra parts and then I could bring them back for a refund. They shipped the parts to my house (all 3,000 lbs) and then we started building the wall. Instead of having extra parts, I was about 80 pieces short! Now I have to pay my contractor another days worth of work!
I called HD and they got me in touch with the manager «Mike». He was very sympathetic to my situation and not only did he get right on the issue immediately but he also gave me the missing parts at no charge! I’ve been shopping at this location for over 10 years now. The service is awesome. The team is great! Lowes has nothing on these guys.

I shop at this store and this location too much but it is needed for my business and it’s needs. My big deal is the restrooms are always in need of a good cleaning. I get it they get used a lot but it just means they need to service them more often. If it’s a mess at 7 am or 7 pm that’s wrong

Thank you for providing parking space for veterans only. I hope the rest of the Home Depots take note of this honor for the veterans. I am 84 years old and served 20 years in the US Navy during two wars. In all my life I have never been honored so much as having my own parking space. I am sending this information to all my veteran friends and Unilocal.
