My family and I thought it would be fun to have a blind taste test (contest) as to which donut shop had the best donuts. We got glazed donuts from 5 local places and we each took a sample of them. Without a doubt, we were all unanimous in «D»…which was from Sweet O Donuts. The donuts from Sweet O were (and maintain to be!) far far FAR superior than all the others! They truly are the best donuts around!

I love this little donut shop. Their donuts are the best I’ve had in OC. Light, fluffy, fresh, and tasty. The service is always friendly and prompt. No frills, but amazing value and quality. Great to support a local business over a chain too.

Wow. I grow up in donut shops. The traditional ones were old men would share war stories and lawn care tips over coffee.
This place is strongly reminiscent of that for me. (West coast vs Midwest but whatever.) There were so many delicious looking options. Figuring a traditional glazed donut is the marker of a good donut shop.
The donut was incredible. Light, airy, not excessively glazed. Very well done. Small place, mom and pop style, and takes $ CASH$$ Do yourself a favor and stop here.

Love this Mom and Pop donut shop! Been buying donuts here for over 15 years and the service, prices, and donuts just can’t be beat. The chocolate chip bar is great, but so is every other donut I’ve ever tried here. The service is always friendly and fast. Once they even stayed open for an extra 15 minutes so I could go to the ATM and get cash to pay for my donuts, which I was buying for a middle of the night road trip. Love this place and will continue to drive past two other donut shops to get to it!

I’ve been lucky enough to live next to this gem my whole life. I’ve never had anything here I didn’t like. The ham and cheese croissants are amazing, the cake donuts are the best I’ve ever had, the old fashioneds are perfect. Not to mention the owners are the nicest people ever.

I go here almost everyday to get my coffee and have a donut or two. Been to other donut shops around the area in the past and know that I go by taste and service. This is the place to get the best of both! All the donuts taste great and they have the best friendly service then anybody. Go check it out!

Fantastic, unbelievably delicious donuts! Adams Ave can’t compare to this South East HB institution.
I’ve been loving Sweet-​O for nearly 20 years and can’t get enough of their treats. The owners are incredibly kind and their sweetness and care translates into their donuts. The Chocolate Chip Bar is amazing and an all time favorite. My sister moved across the country and she always gets her Sweet-​O on each time she’s back to visit HB. She even had Sweet-​O instead of a cake at her wedding– a giant hit with all the guests!

This has always been my go to donut shop since I was a little kid. It’s nothing fancy, but they have great, simple donuts! You can never go wrong with a glazed donut or chocolate bar. Their maple bars are yummy too if you have a really big sweet tooth like me! I used to also order the ham and cheese croissant when ever I craved something savory instead of sweet in the morning. The service is fast and I’ve always been treated very well by the staff when I have come here!

Why haven’t I been here sooner? Stopped on (unbeknownst to me) National Donut Day to pick up some donuts for the office. Amazing! Great customer service, yummy breakfast treats and they even sell Naked Juice.

I coach at Edison high school and stopped by here to pick up donuts for my girls. I got an assorted dozen which was $ 9 and some change. It was 3:45pm and there was not much selection left. The girl who was there was really nice and apologized for the lack of selection.
The quality of the donuts were good, it was moist and tasty. I tried the sprinkle donut which I enjoyed, it was sweet but not too sweet. My girls seemed like they enjoyed the donuts as well since they devoured it.
All in all I would come back here for a donut fix if I was in the area.

2 stars for the actual flavor of the donuts. Got 3 and only one of them was good (the chocolate chocolate cake donut). Got a long glaze and it was ok. Got the buttermilk chocolate and it tasted days old. I took one bite, so did the girlfriend, we then looked at each other and threw it in the trash.
1 star for the service… the lady was kind and cheery.
Whoever said that this place beat Donuttery… I took your review to heart and came here with that in mind. That said, you were dead wrong. Was hoping to find a Donuttery killer. Yeah… not here.
