I worked with Scott Alley at Summit Lending to obtain a FHA loan and he was great! He was very patient with my questions from pre qualification through funding and was always prompt in returning my emails. The loan process was very smooth and I got a great rate. I would highly recommend this company.

I worked with Eric Gausepohl to get the loan on my condo. He was AWESOME! He is very straight forward and very honest. It was my first time going through this process and I had a lot of what I would call «stupid questions.» He was very patient and took the time to answer anything I needed. I am pretty happy with the way my refi went. Eric gave me great estimates of what to expect on payments, time frames, and fees. I had two homes done through him and it was seamless and quick, at least in mortgage terms. He answered my questions timely and made the whole experience pleasant. I rarely leave reviews but he saved me a ton a money with the refi so this in my eyes was worth it. He has been around long enough to know the ins and outs, but still small enough to answer your questions when you have them. I worked with Scott at Summit Lending, and I would highly recommend working with him and this company. I needed a refinance to take advantage of Obama’s new FHP PMI program, and along the way Scott was able to drop my rate from 4.25 to 3.65%! He was always available for questions and I’ll admit I needed some handholding along the way which he was more than happy to do. He was always very responsive to my emails which is huge when you’re doing this type of transaction. Any other banking/​loan services that I need, I will for sure call Scott!

If you’re looking to re-​fi and you’re shopping around for lenders, quit while you’re ahead and go with Eric Gausepohl and Summit Lending. Eric is knowledgeable, efficient, patient, no-nonsense…and super nice! He listened carefully to my situation and immediately knew what type of loan I was most likely to be approved for. Throughout the process, he made himself available by phone, text, and email, always responding promptly to even the tiniest of question I had.
The big lenders will have you believe that securing a loan is an insanely complicated process and that you have to jump through hoops only to ultimately get rejected on a technicality. I had actually started the re-​fi process with Chase (because they held my current mortgage), but when I was re-​reading the documents, I realized that Chase’s loan officer had not been exactly forthcoming with me.
After turning to Unilocal for a better solution, I contacted Summit based on their stellar reviews. Eric offered to go over my paperwork from Chase and address my concerns. He told me he could get me a better interest rate and avoid private mortgage insurance. What’s more, he seemed to have his finger on the pulse of interest rate trends and locked me in at exactly the right time. The entire process was completely painless and took about a month from start to finish.
If I should ever need home loan in the future, I’ll call Eric without hesitation.
