I can’t say enough good things about my experience today as a new client of this wonderful salon. Janira was my stylist, and she did an absolutely amazing job on my hair color. She worked miracles on me today, and I walked away an extremely happy client. I am so happy I found Janira… and Salon Fifty Fifty!

AshleeSue has done one of the most amazing color contrast on my hair that ive ever had! I absolutely fell in love with her style and techniques! Shes got some amazing skill! Highly recommend her to anyone for any type of style! Shes also amazing with mens haircuts!

Ashlee Sue gives the best hairdos… I had an important meeting come up and needed a hair cut fast, she was able to get me in quick last minute and gave me a great stylish hair cut, and her scalp massage is awesome. I love how efficient she is and how great my hair turned out, she’s the best.

I couldn’t find any decent salons in Long Beach so I ventured out to Huntington Beach and it was worth it! Erin continuously does the best color and style!

I’ve been indecisive with getting my hair done. I wanted a drastic change before Chinese New Years and my birthday. I cancelled and reschedule numerous times within the month due to me being so fearfully hesitant. Sarah is a killer hairstylist, but when I had the courage to finally go forth with the new hairdo. She ended up being booked solid. Damnnnn I missed out. It’s cool. Everyone at studio fifty fifty is talented .
Erin ended up doing my hair. She was more than happy to take on the challenge. I loved her positive vibe, honesty, and hair integrity. I was going for the full rose gold with a chunky layered haircut and Erin was able to deliver beyond my expectations. It was definitely a process, but the end result was well worth it.
Studio fifty fifty is now my go to spot. Finally, I’ve found my hairstylists. Erin & Sarah

ASHLEE SUE is AMAZING!!! She is excellent with blondes and all colors in between and her haircuts are spot on as well! She will listen to exactly what you want and help you achieve your hair goals in the way that you envision them. She is also super laid back, and fun to talk to and will make sure that you are as comfortable as possible while you are in her chair. Ashlee Sue. Seriously you never let me down! If anyone doesn’t believe in magic — then talk to me about this girl! From blonde to brown to black to purple — then all the way back to blonde! I have never had any fried ends or damage and if you see the pictures they speak the loudest — I still have smooth silky hair with all the processing I have done to it! I would give this girl 10 stars if it allowed me too! If you want smooth sexy colored hair with a fresh cut and style seriously give this girl a call STAT!

I just got my Brazilian blowout again! I can’t stop touching my beautiful, soft, and shiny hair. It’s life changing! Ashlee Sue has been doing my hair for five years. She is amazingly wonderful at every cut, trim, Brazilian Blowout, color dye, highlights etc., that she has done on my hair. Do you have frizzly hair? She’ll fix it. Do you need an idea for a new hairstyle? Ashlee is a creative genius. I just love how every time she does my hair, it looks a million times than before. She knows exactly how to cut hair. I’ve had people in the past cut way too much hair off but with Ashlee, her main goal is to make my hair look better then before. She never fails!!!

Can you say worst hair experience ever? This review is for Ashlee Sue and why you should absolutely steer clear of her chair. The first time i came in I was flattered, fed and went red, but honestly it had to grow on me as the red was extremely bright for my taste. It faded, looked fine and i went on with life. It wasn’t until i came in to go short that I was put in such an an uncomfortable position. My hair did not in any way come out like the picture i wanted, it was 4 inches too short and resembled a do patti smith would rock and let me tell you i cannot pull that off. Being far to nice to speak up or realize she was kissing my butt to get me to come back. I came back once more just for face framing highlights and some red color, how could that be screwed up? I asked her to thin out the top of my hair and make it lighter. I left with a haircut resembling a mullet, bangs going all the way into the back of my hair and I physically watched her thin out the bottom and not the top. She was clearly in a funk that day and she ruined my hair. As soon as the toner came out i could see just how over-​processed the bleach was and it was smack dab in the front of my face, unavoidable to be seen. I was mortified and called to complain, not only did she refuse to return my money she lied to her boss saying i owed her money for the job, HA! That was so inappropriate, luckily i got my
Money returned to me but i’m still suffering through this choppy skater boy cut. I never asked for bangs so why do i have them?! I can’t speak for the rest of the salon but she is not only a untrustworthy stylist but person. The good reviews for her are all bribes for a discount on the next visit, i should know i simply left a good review for the discount, honestly the only reason my first time was a win was because my haircut was such a train wreck before i came in here that anything would have been better. Never again!

I haven’t had my hair done since 2013 and was super nervous to do anything. But it was time for change after so long. This was my first time here and I love it! It is a cute salon with stylist with really pretty hair which made me feel better. Eddie did my hair and I’m in love. It came out better than I could’ve imagined. I love it so much! Eddie was super understanding of what I wanted and nice. Thanks a whole bunch! Definitely recommend this to anyone and everyone!

I’ve been going here for a couple years with the amazing Erin!
The salon itself is cool and unique, unlike other places. The vibe is young and trendy. They cater to the customers needs and even provide refreshments.
My stylist is Erin, she does such a great job, she is truly very talented with color. Her Instagram is stock full of pics of the beautiful color range she is able to do for literally anybody, from
unicorn colors to classic ombré, she nails it.
She takes her time in understanding what you want and what look you are going for, rather than rushing through like a lot of hair stylists out there. Not to mention, she can give the most amazing shampoos! I’ve actually been to other salons where I’ve had to blow dry my own hair (not cool) but Erin takes time to make you sure you leave the salon feeling like a million bucks! She is super bubbly and friendly, I look forward to seeing her each time! Thanks Erin and Studio Fifty Fifty :)

OMG I AM IN TEARS IM SO HAPPY! I came in today as a walk-​in, crossing my fingers that I would be lucky enough to find a hairstylist that could take one look at me and fit a style for my face. I am so lucky I found RIO! She is awesome! She is new to fifty fiftyhas only been there a couple of months. I have never paid over $ 30 for a hair cut, so you can imagine how nervous I was when I was told it was $ 140! Boy was it worth every freakin penny!!! Thank you thank you thank you RIO so much for giving me my dream cut and suggesting the violet color I love it, you are changing lives!!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE My hair!
On Saturday, I called around noon to see if there was any availability and they fit me in at 3pm. Erin did partial highlights, cut, and style. And it turned out great! It was $ 165 + tip and worth every freaking penny. I’m not used to spending much on my hair. I’ll be honest, I’m cheap and lazy.
Everyone was friendly and the environment was casual and comfortable. FYI, Erin has some great punny jokes. If you love puns as much as I do, you’ll love her. lol
I will def. be coming back to see Erin.

The atmosphere is amazing! I would love to just hang out here all day! Beautiful flower arrangements and decorations, a variety of fruit infused water, bagels, cookies, beer/​wine and lots of smiles!
I started having my hair done by the amazing Ms. Katie Brunner about a year ago. I had been wanting to try a subtle ombré coloring but past attempts by other stylists didn’t go so well. Katie made it look effortless as she worked. She showed me the end result and it was absolutely perfect! I went back a few months later for a touch up and again, PERFECT! She trimmed my hair a bit at a time so she didn’t take too much off. I got to keep my length but ditch the dead ends.

When we moved back to Orange County, I was desperately looking for a hair dresser. After one entire night of research online, I found Erin at this salon. It was the pictures of her work that caught my attention. Made an appointment, and have been her client since. Every time I came back from my hair appointment with Erin, my husband would give me a ton of compliments. Of course between appointments he loves my hair, too. My hair style was designed by Erin to fit me. And I just love it and feel good with it.
