SR Design & Construction helped me design and build my home in Manhattan Beach. It was a complete tear-​down and Sack guided me through the process the whole way… from the initial assessment before purchasing the property all the way through the final building inspection before move-​in. He was very hands-​on and treated the project (including the budget) like it was his own home.
I feel Sack’s strongest area is the design where he spent a great deal of time trying to understand the lifestyle, needs, and preferences of my family. This resulted in a truly custom home. He made countless revisions and helped balance functionality with aesthetics, negotiating the differing opinions between my wife and me.
Having the same person work on the design as well as overseeing the actual construction was a HUGE benefit. It allowed us to be nimble and flexible as construction issues came up or improvements could be made as the house took physical shape. Having seen firsthand the issues that inevitably come up with building a house from the ground up, I feel like we avoided the layer of miscommunication between the architect and general contractor, and the resulting extra time and frustration that it would cause. I really appreciate the all-​in-​one services that Sack provides.

I recently had an extensive home renovation done on my home. I called several contractors and ultimately went with SR Design & Construction (Sack Rattan). I wanted to design my home with a modern touch (inside & out). Since this is a big renovation, I decided to break it down into phases. As of now, I’m done with the 1^st phase that includes a master room addition of 600+ sqft that incorporates enlarging the room as well as adding a master bath & walk in closet. Master bath has walk in steam room and Jacuzzi tub. Additional work also includes brand new kitchen, tiling, re-​doing the 2^nd bed bathroom, new water lines throughout, new tankless water system, steam generator, water softener, sewer lines, new electrical, foundation repairs, windows, repairing termite wood damage, recessed lighting throughout and a concrete fireplace that I love!
Being very honest here, I am totally satisfied beyond a doubt of all the work performed as well as the support & knowledge Sack has on any ideas I have going forward with my 2^nd phase renovation. He is easy to talk to and thinks outside the box with my modern ideas from beginning to end. My 2^nd phase will consist of matching the outside concrete wall structure on the 1^st phase master bedroom to carry over to the living room and front entrance as well as some patio work and new windows.

I used SR Design and Construction for a major house renovation and it turned out great. We completely gutted the kitchen and the master bath, opened up the kitchen into the living room and expanded the master bath. It took a lot of revisions and Sack was completely helpful with his expertise in architectural design. He had great ideas that led to a layout that we were thrilled with. Construction included removing walls and putting up new walls and a support beam, flooring, tiling, new electrical, new plumbing, installing fixtures and appliances, fireplace, shoring up roof supports and existing walls, all new windows for the whole house, stucco and patching and cement patio. It was pretty extensive but our old dated ranch house is now a new modern home.

After purchasing my first home I started my search for a contractor to remodel the outdated 1976 interior. I was referred to SR Design and Construction. Sack Rattan met with me and I told him that I wanted a modern look to my home. We did a walkthrough of my home and started discussing concepts from layouts to materials. Sack came up with some great suggestions and was able to deliver in the final product. Sack was very hands on and personally involved with the project through all phases. My remodel included three bathrooms, and the kitchen which were completely gutted and rebuilt. New flooring, refacing of the fireplace, and even some roofing repair was done.
